Not Sure

so not sure if I count as a new user as I've been lurking for two years, though I have waited until just now to start posting

quick things about me

-It takes me a really long time to commit to something
-I read every post though I don't always respond to/reply to the ones that I have nothing to add or refute in topics
-if you PM me I will respond
-don't usually use nor like im/chat/phone
-I have atrocious spelling and a rather gargantuan vocabulary, auto spell check is my friend and I enjoy spice in my verbiage though I abhor walls of text and prefer to bullet point
-I've seen much of the commercial USA and nowhere near enough of the "backcountry"
-I really enjoy Stratego but avoid chess because of slow players or instant kill masters

Currently I have one question

whats the policy on grave digging

ItWasMe 02-28-2009 12:34 AM

Ahah! As a fellow fone hater, welcome.

CinnamonGirl 02-28-2009 12:41 AM

I used to love Stratego... awesome.

we're glad you've decided to finally jump in!

I have no idea, do we have a policy on grave digging? I'll look into that lol

welcome gardens!

good to see you've taken the plunge. just out of curiosity, what was it that made you decide to start posting? we like to know what our members think and how we can make this place better

as for grave digging..im not sure what you mean...are you talking about exhuming old threads?

Cynthetiq 02-28-2009 07:28 AM

welcome!!!!!

like real grave digging? or thread necromancy?

thread necromancy is sometimes interesting, but lately it's been a way for spammers to jump into convos without getting notice since most old timers won't open old threads.

I'm not much for the "real" grave digging, as renting a backhoe is expensive
rather finding an old thread and adding something to the conversation if I think it will spark replies and further discussion from other users

I get annoyed when people gravedig threads and add a one or two word response, unfortunately I found myself in the unenviable position of contributing to someones grave dig with a such a response (I don't usually check the date of the OP just the date of the last post)

I'm not entirely sure why I suddenly decided to start posting, I just got tired of lurking and felt I should contribute something even if its not genius
