Halx originally lured me here with the porn industry article. Interesting - and certainly different - but it wasn't anything compelling, save the fact that he was using complete sentences, capitals, and grammar... correctly.

The follow-up (AKA Part 2) brought me back, and I poked around for a while. I thought TFP was pretty cool. There was another forum I was poking around at the same time. DA, or something like that? No, not Deviant Art. I think the name had something to do with a change in altitude. Descending something? Something ascending? Anyway, it was like TFP without the porn.

Despite the cool stuff around here, it wasn't compelling enough to stay... and I wasn't 18 to boot. Now I am, and I stumbled across it once more. I started reading threads again, and usernames began to pop out at me as distinctive people - willravel in particular. Kudos. Y'all (English has no "ustedes" or "vosotros") seem like spiffy, deviant people, and y'all are open-minded to boot, so I've decided, "Why not join?"

As I lack a compelling counter to that question, I am here.

Boy, he goes on and on and on...
