There's a fine line between passion and studidity, and quite frankly I'm not sure how far over the line mr cruelty.com has crossed. :D

MSD 01-04-2006 09:26 AM

Now he can get married to GoVeg.com and they can start a whole webring-style family of idiotic subdomains and affiliate advertising.

Glory's Sun 01-04-2006 09:29 AM

aha! GoVeg.com that's the name I couldn't remember

I don't think he can see the line from where he is standing.

Frankly, I no longer eat at KFC.

That fact, however, was not brought about by any social or political pressure, real or imagined. It was brought abought by the fact that, over the past several years, I have come to notice a significant decline in the quality of KFC's product, their service, and the overall atmosphere of their restaurants.

PETA will not bring about the demise of the Kentucky Fried Chicken. KFC is doing quite an adequate job of that all by themselves. This ain't the Colonel's KFC.

Oh...and by the way...what a freakin' dumbass. He should be forced to hold to that name...in perpetuity.
"Hey Grandpa...why is your name so stupid? And what Nationality, or ethnic origin, is Cruelty.com, anyways?"
"Well, kids...you have to understand that your old grandpa here was quite a dumbass, in his earlier years."

BOR, you are a priceless treasure of this forum. That had me on the floor laughing. Thank you.

Carno 01-04-2006 12:07 PM

HAHAHAHAHA... that is so freakin awesome! I love how there are always stupid people in this world to continually provide me with amusement. But seriously, he's just a dumb kid. Misguided, certainly, but that's no reason to hate him. He's just doing what he believes in. Something not many people nowadays do.

I hate KFC too, but unlike this retard, I hate the place because their food is pure shit. I can't stand the place. The food makes me projectile vomit. I agree with BOR- the only ones making KFC go down the tubes is KFC itself. They suck.

Lasereth 01-04-2006 02:13 PM

I hate to add nothing to the PETA discussion, but KFC is nasty. I've never liked it and I don't see how anyone else does either. The breading they use is disgusting!!

rlynnm 01-05-2006 10:44 AM

Popeyes has really good chicken..oh wait wrong thread..sorry..ack.

Strange Famous 01-05-2006 11:00 AM

good for him. At least he is pursuing something he believes in with all his heart,

And Ive seen video's of what those steroid filled chickens look like. A lot of them die cos they get so big so fast that their legs dont get strong enough to support them, break under their weight and they die there in their own filth...

People have a choice, and all he is really doing is trying to get through to as many people his information. People have a choice to eat that food and condone that kind of farming because its cheaper and their highest value is cheap food, and I have a choice to pay a bit extra to eat "free range" meat which I know hasnt been raised in battery farm conditions and pumped full of steroids cos I dont want to condone the battery farm.

There are arguments against me Im aware - is it possible for an animal to be a moral subject? - for my own conscience and piece of mind, I choose what I choose - and this guy is trying just trying to influance people's choices with his information. KFC has a budget of millions to try and woo children and their parents to buy their food, all this guy has is his beliefs and his heart.

Some people may think what he's done is silly - I personally feel a little sorry for anyone who ever finds it ridiculous to see someone follow their ideals about what their heart tells them is right.

Thats my two cents anyway, three cheers for the KFC if cruel guy.

I dont see why caring about animal rights implies someone has non-standard views on personal grooming?

:hmm:

Hmm. Sorry about your confusion there. The idea was that while a vegetarian this kind of behaviour has me swerving for chickens in an exasperated rage. It was merely a joke. Although in fairness I don't think that at any point I said I don't eat at KFC for ethical reasons; I just think that their food is shit.

Edit*In fact just as yourself and Suave deduced further on in the thread.* -Doh!

I agree with people following their ideals about what there heart tells them is right. On top of this I am also all for people then taking the mick out of them when they do something that they think is silly.

I'm not sure that I agree with PETA's take on animal rights as a whole, and this by there standards is perhaps a more favourable direction. However I can't help but despair when the high profile publicity grabbing tactics are used, that even a c-list celeb would shun.

Regardless of views however I don't think I need any pity for them. Don't feel sorry for me, even a little, for what I find ridiculous, I'm quite alright with it. :D

Aw geez, man. Ok, you busted me on a generalization. Perhaps I may be a little too quick to drop into that mindset, but when I think of your hardcore "PETA chick", I tend to visualize a long denim skirt and birkenstock sandal wearing, long greasy hair with a folded bandana on top having, hairy legged, dirty toenail having, no shower in the past four days taking...stereotype. But, in my defense, as George Lopez so quaintly pointed out, "Those stereotypes come from someplace, Dude.".

Yeah, it's called Eugene, Oregon...
