I've met people who've met people who've known famous people who have cousins who post. Does that count?

Not many are famous outside or their circles. A few have created content that is reused constantly (almost every photoshop from SomethingAwful is circulated after it's posted including the infamous WTC tourist hoax photo and "every time you masturbate ... God kills a kitten", someone from Fark created a rare photoshop contest entry that was above the quality expected from elementary school kids and it ended up being printed in Popular Mechanics, which was cited as the source on the picture,) and some things just find their way out and get reused.

an associate professor at my university used that exact picture in a powerpoint to discuss with the class how much computers have changed in the past 50 years. I didn't have the heart/courage to raise my hand and tell her it was a fark photoshop.
