I'm rather indifferent to both. I rarely give gifts, and those gifts that I do receive usually don't pique my interest. Unless they're to me, from me. Or from my parents, because I just tell them what I want.

Rudolph the red gun reindeer, had a very shiny gun. And if you ever saw it, you would crap your pants and run... oh wait... that's not how it goes...

my grandpa reading to me the Velveteen rabbit when I was but a wee child... It will always be my favorite story... I haven't had a grandparent since I was 12 or 12 - but even as old as I am -- I remember him reading to me so vividly - down to the smell of his pipe and the sound of his voice.

My mother told me when i was 9ish - i don't remember why she did - she just did..

Nope - hate that practice...

Our house - santa got a single malt scotch, a plate of pretzels and some cheese and crackers

It's pretty to look at but i have this fear of falling on my ass and breakingevery bone in my butt in the ice - -so pass thanks

Not anymore- two years of arthroscopic surgery and no cartilidge in my left knee have made me paranoid

A first edition copy of the Velveteen Rabbit given to me by my best friend.

Giving - I usually put a lot of thought and effort into gifts to find the perfect thing for everyone - this year - I don't have the motivation...

Used to be midnight mass with a friend, or lighting of the christmas tree at Lincoln Center- now there's none.

I love egg nog but not with rum... just plain. My family thinks I am odd. BUT I also love, LOVE Hot Chocolate. Especially after tobogganing.

I too am a fan of the gift bag. But have been known to spend time doing an extra special job wrapping presents for my wife.

Currently, white on the tree and coloured outside... my wife is in charge of the design, I just execute.

Nope. But that doesn't mean there isn't a lot of kissing happening in my house.

5. When do you put your decorations up?
My wife likes them to go up as close to December 1st as possible. Mostly due to my travel this doesn't happen. This year because of our busy shedules, they will go up this weekend.

Roast turkey with gravy and stuffing... made by me!

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child?
Driving home on Christmas eve when I was a kid (probably about 3 or 4) and being told that we had to get home before Santa got there... I was sure I saw him in the sky.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
I figured it out by myself when I was about seven but kept quiet about it... I'm no fool.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Yes, but not for the sake of opening presents. Christmas Eve is the traditional time that my Mom, my Aunt and Uncle and I (and now my wife and kids) get together for Christmas. We've been doing it for more than 25 years now. This is just when we exchange gifts. Everything else waits for Christmas Day.

10. What kind of cookies does Santa get set out for him?
He gets a beer and whatever cookies happen to be in the pantry.

Green Christmas sucks. There is nothing better than a fresh snowfall just in time for Christmas morning...

Hello? Canadian here... I think you get deported if you can't skate.

There have been many great gifts but the best one to date (that I can recall at this moment) was a small tool kit that my son and wife made for me. It holds my tools for my scooter, is made of oilskin, has my scooter's name on it... It was all my son's idea. I couldn't believe how thoughtful he was... brought me to tears (and it's doing it again).

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
Family. Just spending time with the various branches of my immediate family.

I don't have one... I love dessert.

I'd have to say it's going to my Aunt and Uncle's place on Christmas Eve. It is the one tradition I have that I've been doing for this long...

Going to my Auntie's house for the gift exchange and lunch with everyone when I was young. Very young.

no, i've not done that for a few years. maybe i'll hang some over my bed tho. not a bad idea
