Anyone who wants to buy me a gift can spring for that. Calvin and Hobbes is seriously one of the best all-time comics ever. I truly think it will be timeless.

I saw that today. I seriously want that - that and the complete Far Side, too. Calvin and Hobbes was one of the best strips out there. I hated to see it go, but just like Bloom County, they ended before they got boring so in that sense I'm glad they didn't go on forever.
I'll never forget the first time I saw Calvin and Hobbes. I don't think I laughed that hard at a comic strip in years. Oh, and btw, if I pay the money for it, I'm keeping it for myself. Sorry!

Borla, that is a very awesome collection. We have a lot of the Calvin and Hobbes books already. Oh and if this is a Christmas wish list thread....
I'll take this: http://video.barnesandnoble.com/sear...Wu&frm=0&itm=1 Sex and the City is my favorite and having every episode in one binder If I thread jumped, I'm sorry. Borla, maybe we can buy each other our dream gifts....of course, I'd have to fight JumpinJesus to get Calvin and Hobbes to you.

Sort of. It's now a Sunday only strip and it's titled "Opus" and it occasionally features some of the old Bloom County characters. Now, back to our regularly scheduled thread. /threadjack.

I think the 10th Anniversary will be good enough for me. At least until I get more money

If anyone wants to hook me up with that, then I might be willing to give a little. j/k, but that Sex and the City collection does look extremely sexy, I've obtained all the episodes through...other means, and as fabulous as they are, they don't hold a candle to that sexy DVD case. |

It is indeed awesome. If you have all of the original books, they make for good clipping.
Ok, so we've gotten The Far Side, Calvin and Hobbes. Peanuts is being reprinted in two, deluxe two-year collections each year, as is the Hank Ketchum years of Dennis the Menace. Now if somebody will just realize that Modesty Blaise deserves the super-deluxe treatment, I'll be a happy woman. I wanted to be Modesty Blaise as a little girl. Comics Revue once enough and the occaisional reprint book aren't enough. Hell, I still want to be Modesty Blaise. Gilda
