One was charged with battery, the other disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

The incident at Channelside began about 11 hours before the Panthers faced the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium.

As they left the Orient Road Jail late Sunday morning, 26-year-old Angela Ellen Keathley and the other woman, who was not identified, sprinted to a car and would not comment. Keathley was released on $750 bail and the unidentified woman on $500 bail.

Fellow Panther cheerleaders posted bail for the women and would not comment.

Police said the unidentified woman may have used the identification of another Panthers cheerleader when arrested. That was not determined by police until after her release from jail. Her identity had not been determined by Sunday evening, and she could face a charge of lying to police, police spokeswoman Laura McElroy said.

Witnesses said Keathley and the woman were having sex in a stall at Banana Joe's in Channelside about 2:10 a.m. Sunday, an arrest report states.

Club patron Melissa Holden said she and other women became angry while waiting for the restroom.

Holden said she could see the two women in the stall and heard moaning. After about 15 minutes, she said, the two women emerged. Another patron complained and then "the blonde hit me in the face," Holden said.

Holden said she grabbed that woman's arms, held them behind her back and called for security.

"I have a big black eye now and I have to go to work on Tuesday," said Holden, a nurse.

When police arrested the woman they said hit Holden, she gave police the driver's license of a Panthers cheerleader as identification, according to the police report. Keathley "got riled up" after that woman was arrested, McElroy said.

Keathley was drunk, "rude and belligerent," using foul language and uncooperative with police, the report states.

Police tried arresting Keathley, but she refused to place her hands behind her back and struggled with an officer trying to handcuff her, the report states.

A call to Banana Joe's corporate office was not returned Sunday.

A Panthers spokesman said the team wouldn't comment but was aware of the incident.

Keathley is listed on the Panthers' Web site as a registered nurse and a second-year cheerleader for the team.

Oh man I really wish there was some videotape somewhere.

Well, yeah, of course. And the lower photos have no smiles (no one (except for members of Congress) smile during booking photos). And I can't see their cleavage in the lower photos, that's a couple more points off.

Er, my point was the photoshopping work done in the official team photos, compared to what they look like in normal life. I hate Playboy for the same reason: too much airbrushing. I agree. I think what a lot of folks are overlooking is that they probably went to the police department straight from the bar. I don't know about anyone else but I look like absolutely crap after a night of drinking and/or dancing. Plus that flourescent lighting didn't help, I'm sure. Granted, none of that has anything to do with the massive shnoz on the brunette. That thing is huge.

and she had the same shnoz in the before picture - but with cleavage it was less noticable...

I'm a true Panther's fan. This just shows that our cheerleaders can kick butt as well as our football team!

Of course, these two have already been canned.

Also, the Panthers.com website has been taken down to dump all remnants of these fine examples of Carolinians. Too bad.

However, as far as bathroom sex goes, one of the casinos in Las Vegas has these really cool "single occupant" restrooms that are roughly the size of a studio apartment, seem designed for, er, adventurous patrons. Not that we did anything inappropriate in there, mind you, but there was more than enoug h room.

I live in Tampa, and have frequented Channelside a few times. Unfortunately, I wasn't there at the time of the incident. It is actually a pretty upscale downtown area. I'd expect something like this to happen in the Ybor area of tampa, not channelside.

We just don't call it that. For us, the toilet is the commode, the plumbing fixture itself, not the room that the fixture lives in. We think it's weird that you're so specific about precisely where you're going. I certainly HOPE they weren't having sex in the toilet, as that would be very unhygenic.

There's a reason we only allow 18+ on TFP*. We also pride ourselves on having an average IQ in the triple digits, unlike FARK where they seem to take pride in the opposite. I agree. The washroom, the watercloset, the kybo. Yes it is the function of the room. But seriously , I thought that a commode was just a chair with a hole in it. No plumbing attached. At least that's what it is in these parts...
