Reason why this guy couldn't find a job.

Today I worked out why I have been unemployed for the past 4 or so months.

As I live 25 miles away from the area I wish to work in, for the majority of cases I use online employement agencies to look for work. I've applied for countless numbers of positions this way, and was becoming rather dismayed that I was being overlooked for jobs that I could do with my eyes shut. I thought perhaps it may have something to do with my CV, so I opened up cv.doc to see what changes I could make to sound more appealing to future employers.

Only instead of my well written and informative CV, what I found was the tracklisting to a cd I had made for someone about 5 months ago. No problem, I thought - I can download my CV from one of the agency sites, and use that. Except when I did this, I found the same list of songs.

I have been applying for work with an indie mix cd..
Hahaha.

I found this on another forum and thought it was pretty funny. I wonder what the employer were thinking when they saw his application thingy.

That is pretty funny... and a good lesson learned: When applying for a job, one should tailor the CV/resume for the job you're applying for.

Yeah, some bosses prefer a rock soundtrack or maybe a slower type? Thats a classic, my CV never changes (mostly because I don't have a lot of experience but I still have a while to fill it out!).

4 months and he didn't figure it out that seems suspect. I mean he is not employed, and he doesn't bother to check his cv for 4 months after not getting one call back. Maybe he just didn't want to get job and he sabotaged it subconsciously.

Haha, that was a good chuckle. I can believe it. I've had periods where I've made my portfolio and resume and then I just get into a mode of distribution. It doesn't occur to me to check my resume again until the madness of distribution ends.

After college, I applied to countless jobs, with no responses. After a about 2 weeks, one of my friends asked me what what up with my answering machine messages. I listened to the message- There was no message to speak of. It was just background noise with me and a few friends yelling at some videogame. I felt pretty silly.
