Madonna offends God, news at six
Madonna's first religion was Catholicism -which she promptly offended some religious types. Now she "converts" to a new faith and proceeds to piss them off.

madonna who? do people really listen to her music for a message? can't believe people actually care about what she or really any other celb has to say. If she wants to put her money were her mouth is thats fine, but who cares what she thinks. My guess would be that even if she never said anything religious that the jewish rabbi or whatever would have been pissed that it was not mentioned. anything to get into the news and sell records/promote religion. Saw her in concert when i was younger during the blond something or other tour. She was hot.
LOL, there is a website called jewsweek.com? I remember reading a thread where using the name jew was an insult? not that it is to me. gonna go surf over to irishweekly.com. |

What happens when people get famous? Are they taken to some undergournd lair and indoctrinated in the cult of the crazy?
I think most people don't give a rat's ass what Madonna says, or Streisand or any of these people. But THEY think we hang on every word.

"Celebrities" have to maintain a certain visability. It's important for their careers. I don't think Madonna is in that category, though. I think flat5 nailed it; it's the rabbies involved who are being attention mongers.
I'm a bit hesitant to call a rabbi an attention whore. We'll see where this goes, if it ever shows up in the news again, which I rather doubt. |

As to the exclusivity of the jewish religion, addressed above, I wish that more religions were more selective on who got to join- If you disagree, watch a televangelist some time ( Robert Tilton is a good example, as well as giving me an amusing idea of what the anti-christ should look/ act like)

Well then what are they doing listening to Madonna in the first place? She's not exactly a gospel singer. I compare this to Ford Motor Company being offended when the manufacturer of Twinkies publicly praises the quality of Ford's engines.

Does anyone else enjoy the irony of the title? "Madonna offends God?" What, are His Holiness and the Virgin Mary in a tiff?
And personally, if I were a rabbi, I would be asking myself why God made Madonna so successful if she is a blasphemer. After all, it must have been a miracle to blind people enough that they would buy her drivel. |

I think Madonna was unwise to include that song. Mixing religion with entertainment is bound to cause some offence when the artist is controversial.

Madonna is a total flake, and the hollywood Kabbalah is such a scam. She's a joke who's fallen for a joke. I only care enough to express just how annoying it is that she gets attention for it.

Having seen Madonna on the MTV award ceremony the other week where to prove Elton John wrong she actually sang live I can honestly say that she has now not only offended God, but also managed to offend me.
You can't help but be offended when someone shits in your ears. It's nice that she tried to answer her critics and managed to prove to the whole world that she's one of the world's most popular singers, that can't actually sing very well.

You have to realize being succesful singer does not neccesarily have to do with having the best voice. It is about presentation and knowing how to sell yourself. While I am not a madonna fan, no one can say she does not know how to sell herself!
