OK, I'm fairly liberal, when it comes to social issues. But, genetics aside, I just can't wrap my mind around adult siblings in a sexual relationship. I say adult because it's not uncommon for some childhood...experimentation. But to carry on a relationship into adulthood is just...no, I can't go there. Maybe it's societal, maybe it's programming, I don't know. All I know is that I'm the first one to say that what two consenting adults do, behind closed doors, is their business and no one elses. But siblings? Sorry...ol' Bill's gotta draw a line somewhere, and I think that you guys have found it.

I'm gonna put myself in this place. I am clearly aware that my brother and I both carry a recessive gene for anadontia (sp?). My brother never got his 12 yr old molars as well as some of his adult teeth. I myself retained one baby tooth and the adult tooth never came in. In our position I KNOW that if my brother and I were to procreate we would very LIKELY have a child with a much worse case of anadontia even as bad as the child being born with no hair, nails, or any teeth at all.
Even without this I am aware of the risk and if I had any intelligence I all I would not procreate with a sibling for this reason. Children are not a necessity and those who have them simply out of irresponsible sexual encounters are the worst kind of parents. SO either this couple had the children out of stupidity or they had them out of irresponsibility. Either way they should not have conceived. How to legislate that fairly is the tricky subject. I don't believe it would be possible to keep it truely fair.
