I don't believe I've been to any of those places, which is kind of depressing. I can see pictures of most of them in my head, but I'm sure seeing it in person would be a totally different experience.

Been to NYC many times, inlcuding the Met Museum, but I think the Guggenheim kicks Met ass. Been to Yellowstone, lived near the San Fran bay and have seen it more times than I can count, and Niagra Falls - the most impressive of those on the list.

Though I think the natural dunes in the Outer Banks put all of that to shame.

I never actually went into the Louvre. I can't remember why, but it was closed the day I was there, so we just kind of looked at it, the glass pyramid, and continued on our way. I've seen other neat places/things, but they didn't make the list.

I've seen so many of them on films anyway.

What I will remember when I'm summing up my life is the best friends I've made and sorry to be crude but yes some of the women I've 'laid'.
I've had one on one expericences I'll remember far more than seeing a building....

I agree that cityscapes don't fit in this list... San Fransisco, NY and Florence cityscapes are hardly one of the 100 wonders of the world IMO (nothing against those city's or it's citizens).

Banff/Jasper would give Yosemite a run for it's money also

I've only seen Yellowstone, the New York City skyline, and the Grand Canyon...and that was in an airplane..sheesh. I really regret not making Stonehenge when I was in England, but I just didn't have enough time.

Hubby has seen quite a few of them though...he told me all about them and said it was a bummer I couldn't be there because he knew how much I'd enjoy them.

I have to say, I think that of all the places I've been to, Victoria Falls was one of the most magnificent things I've ever seen (particularly because it's natural). Hey, it was one of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World!! (And it's a lot harder to make that list than this one, of 100!!)

I've always felt that way. Had the chance to go on a tour of europe in highschool, I instead asked could I just have half the money. Plus, photo's generally will give a better (and more lasting) view of the "wonder".

And btw, how is the Sahara one of the world's wonders? Seriously, it's a wasteland.

No way man, there is NOTHING compared to having the whole sense experience of a "wonder." A photo only gives you sight, not the other 4 crucial senses. Getting soaked in front of Victoria Falls, with nothing but the roar of the falls around me and the taste of fresh, humid air and smell of river water in the hot African sun... you can't get that from a picture.

Just told my wife last night that in the next 20 years I want to visit these places, among others:

1 Pyramids of Egypt
17 Karnak Temple * Egypt
21 Acropolis & its Parthenon * Greece
23 Jerusalem Old City * Israel - Which would be my #1 with a bullet vacation destination
26 Petra * Jordan
27 Nile River Cruise * Egypt
29 Cappadocia * Turkey
30 Colosseum of Rome * Italy
32 St Peter's Basilica * Vatican City
33 Egyptian Museum * Egypt
35 Valley of the Kings * Egypt
37 Sistine Chapel * Vatican City
55 Chartres Cathedral * France
57 Damascus Old City / Umayyad * Syria
64 Abu Simbel * Egypt
73 Baalbek * Lebanon
99 Dead Sea * Israel & Jordan

And I am just PINING for this one:
31 Fjords of Norway
