Interestingly I started out wanting to date this one girl I've been pining after for three years, though she's never showed me interest.

Then I read through the thread and saw people's wishes.

So then I thought 'Ya'know, it'd be nice to pimp my computer and have it working tomorrow'. Then "Ya'know, I'll take a life time of money so I never have to worry about it. That'll just save me the trouble."

But I know even if I had that, I'd wake up tomorrow and say "Man, I really wish I could kiss her..." and the money wouldn't particularly solve that.

So I think we'll stick with number one.

A handful of people have mentioned enlightenment and/or intelligence, but they asked for it to be granted to them in an instant. I'd much rather have the ability to learn at, say, 100x the normal rate. That way it's not impossible to attain unparalleled levels of intellect, but at the same time it doesn't take away the thrill of learning something new, or reaching a new level of consciousness in the quest for enlightenment. It also always leaves room for more to be learned.

I also think it would be cool to have a heightened level of perception of others' thoughts. Not enough that it would be intrusive, just enough that you could sense exactly what their emotions were, and know how to improve their state of mind. The ultimate level of sensitivity and awareness.

I'm not sure how money is a selfish wish, I have never met a person who has never said they wouldn't like to be rich.

That's my number one wish, Money..enough so i will never have any money issues ever again.

Of course i don't play the lottery, Besides, I would get struck by lightning before i would win money..So ya it's just a wish.

I'd like to get the chance to live all the choices I decided against, just to see how it would have worked out.

I'd like to survive death so I could write about it.

I'd like to get the recognition I deserve.

I want the dearest person in my life healed and not to be in pain any more.And $200,000. I'm not greedy, I just don't want any bills.

I wish I had the natural physical talent and skill to play professional basketball at the highest level, and do so very successfully. It is my favorite thing to do, and it would kick ass to do it for a living as one of the best.

That is a great wish. I envy those who have the ability to learn multiple languages with relative ease.

All of my wishes are selfish but the most selfish would have all the money I ever wanted to buy anything my whimsy so finds and I'll be one content kitty-bunny.

I would wish for the days to be longer by 2 hours, and for that extra 2 hours to be set aside for play instead of being eaten up by work like I know they would be otherwise. I would also wish to only need 3 hours of sleep a night, and be able to photosynthesize, so I wouldn't have to kill something else to keep myself alive.

Controllable telepathy? All the money I could ever use? Women, power, ... no. I want health. Health, with all those other things, yeah.

And for all spammers and religious zelots to die. Kinda like that guy in Russia, even though he apparently had help.

I think I would wish for the weight loss I'm attempting to achieve to come more easily. Still, I'm getting there on my own, slowly but surely, so. I'll let you in on this weird wish I used to daydream about a long time ago.

I used to wish that I could heal basic injuries/blemishes (being overweight, basic skin problems, drug addiction, etc.) of beautiful women.....but the way it worked was they had to have sex with me. Juvenile, I know, but I was 14.

I wish to be the bass player for the greatest rock band ever and forever. It would be like comparing a peanut to the universe. I would also like to be immortal. I would be looked at as a god, a mystery to science. The money would never stop rolling in. I would also like to have the choice to end my immortality if i got bored.

You did ask for one selfish thing. I may have strayed from the path. I like to consider my post one selfish scenario to stay with the whole "one" thing.

Anybody can be creative, it's something we're all endowed with. You just need to take a crack at it to see if you like it. Actually being good at whatever you decide to try is completely irrelevant. Not everyone who pokes out a melody on a piano is Mozart, but that doesn't mean they can't find fulfillment just by doing it every so often.

As for my wishes?

I want the ability to fly. Saves me gas money and Insurance. And I'm betting it's wicked environmentally sound.
