Also, I am not exactly one to judge a book by it's cover, but this guy looks totally nuts! |
I'd just like to know why a State Trooper could arrest him after

Seems to me, this would just the kind of thing they should be looking for... and that doesn't even begin to talk about someone walking across the border with weapons and a bloody chainsaw. |
and yet they arrest people for downloading music....makes a lot of sense.
|
I suggest not mentioning this story to the customs agent that is giving you a hard time at the airport over a piece of suspicious fruit.

I can understand why there wasn't a warrant check, it would take too much time for border patrol to check everyone. Ok, ok, so the guy with weapons should've been checked, that's a given; but the article did state that they weren't sure if it were just rust or red paint on the chainsaw. Who knows maybe the guy had other tools in the car or whatever he was driving and made it look semi-normal?? |
This guy is a naturalized United States citizen. He was let into his country of citizenship.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...cp_7794212.jpg which made me wonder, isn't that Squiggy? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...05_RQ55D0O.jpg |
Squiggy carrying a homemade sword, a hatchet, a knife, brass knuckles and a chainsaw stained with what appeared to be blood. Yikes.
|
I would have shit myself while reading that story and seeing that guys picture yesterday in the newspaper, had I not been on the crapper. :D
Doesn't he just look like a guy who decapitated someone with a chainsaw? |
/me shrugs and goes back to playing golf...

i would have thought that border protection would have been stronger, but they did technically follow procedure, I suppose given the red stain, they should have investigated further but hind sight is always pretty clear
|
At least his rights weren't violated by the fascist border guards, or imagine the uproar we'd be hearing.

Sort of a pickle: It seems like they wanted to hold the guy but couldn't find a legal reason. On the other hand, I can't help but wonder, if the guy wasn't white, he'd be in Gitmo already. Seriously, if the guy had darker skin and his passport said Ahmed or Jose they would locked him up.

I think he's probably a misfits fan. The haircut is called a devil-lock. They sing about murder and such: Too much horror business Driving late at night Psycho '78 My bathroom is new You, you don't go in the bathroom with me Psycho '78 12 o'clock, don't be late All this horror business My mirrors are black You don't go in the bathroom with me With you I'll put a knife right in you I'm warning you I'll put a knife right in you I'm warning you I'll put a knife right in you |
This story has enough content for like 5 different discussions. It's almost as versatile as a swiss army knife.
|
Ed Grimley, I must say.
|
Well the reason the warrants hadn't shown up when the Border Guards checked him was because he was supposed to show up THAT day for the hearing.... That means the warrant wouldn't have been issued for some time afterwards.
