Sand Storm Consumes Military Base in Iraq
This video clip is from an unverifiable source but it does show what appears to be an up close and personal look at a sand storm blowing into a military installation. Near the end this looks exactly like the storm we watched David Bloom, may he rest in peace, reporting from in 2003.

Discovery did a show about weather around the solar system and the approaching storm looks like the same effect they used to show a giant mars sand storm comming in.
My guess is that it has been edited and it may be a real sandstorm approaching with a little extra 'umph'. If not its pretty freeking cool looking heh.

well, according to the snopes website, the one that they have pictured was going at 60mph. So I am assuming that this one is probably going just as fast, but it is still very far off in the distance, so it appears not to be moving.
that is really freaky looking.. I wouldn't mind being around one to check it out. They are apparently not all that bad as long as you can find somewhere indoors to hang out in until it passes. |
