Movies you absolutely, positively, MUST see.

Hey TFPer's. I've decided make my first post outside of the erogenous zone in months to ask a valuable question: What movies do I absolutely have to see? Mainstream musts? Cult classics? Give me your most awesome Netflix fodder and give me an education in culture

Star Wars Episode 3...possibly the best of the 6, definately the best of the prequels. If you're gonna hate Star Wars, see this before you decide.

Dancer in the Dark! Even the toughest man will find it hard not to choke up in that movie

Blues Brothers is also an incredible movie. I discovered some of my favorite musicians through that movie.

Haha. I personally LOVE Reloaded and Revolutions but they aren't for everyone. A lot of people don't like them because they're told not to like them and some people just don't like the direction they took when compared to the first. I would recommend Reloaded and Revolutions also but take it with a grain of salt

The first one is for EVERYONE

Casablanca will always be the top of my must see movie list. It's got everything a movie should have, including not one but two dashing leading men...

Now Voyager, I'm not the chick flick type, this is a sappy chick flick but it doesn't have the ending you'd expect - and Bette Davis is so beautiful

All About Eve -- Marilyn Monroe in her first movie role, the aging Bette Davis, excellent story.. Love this movie.

A Place in the Sum - Elizabeth Taylor at 18 was gorgeous - those eyes... (I saw the movie, I read the book -(theodore Dreiser's An American Tragedy) I couldn't tell you wich I liked better)

Singin' in the Rain - my favorite musical and the story is quite funny

The Godfather I and II - III sucked

One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest

Apocapolypse Now (and i know I slaughtered that spelling _

Amadeus
And the one that no one can ever figure out how it got on any list because my tastes run towards classics -
For Love of the Game - Kevin Costner is not the greatest actor but this movie will get me reaching for the hankies every single time, and I know it's coming too. (the book was fabulous as well)

if you have to see a drug style film i would personally throw out reqiuem and replace it with either Blow, or Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
requiem was just too unrealistic while trying to be serious for me.
also
the movies Snatch and
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
and goodfellas
and if your into old style musicals theres Fiddler of the Roof
and Payback
thats all i can think of that wasnt listed up above
