I have great respect for the mods and admins. My 5 second banning from the politics forum was far too kind.

This is a good place; better than what I have seen before. That is directly related to how this site is administered.

All of you make our jobs much easier. Four people reported the spammer via the "report this post" button, while a few people in chat brought it to our attention. The members here always amaze me at how they go out of their way to help keep the forums in order.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, "you're welcome, and thank you."

I've always taken the mods for granted: I have no idea what this place would look like without them but I'm sure it wouldn't be pretty. /me tips his hat to the mods

You know that saying about servants? You only ever know about them if they've done something wrong -- That's exactly you guys. In fact, I was wondering whether the mods/admin did anything at all since I've never seen anyone being told off or anything. Go you silent creatures!

Its been said in here already but.......

Seriously, we all moderate here. You, Me, and every other member, It is through civil communication, and mature attitude that we have managed to make this place what it is. I think this thread should actually be a place to pat yourselves on the back....not Us.

Good Job Folks.....You all make it a pleasure to be here.

Yeah, compared to a lot of other forums, this one kicks ass. No spam, people are (generally) very civil to eachother. The way it should be.

I went to another forum, as a comparison to the TFP. How can one be so lucky as to find the TFP first? I did, and was curious as to the nature of the other forums. "The grass is always greener" as they say.

I was quickly shown the door by a (13 year old?) young person who took offence to my disagreement with his/her philosophical views. I guess they were a mod or something greater than I, and when questioned, I had to refer back to the 1337 speek chart to decipher the insults aimed at me (and my age/gender/geographic loaction).

Licking my wounds, I quickly returned to the TFP and immersed myself in the culture, the different facets of the boards, and the wonderful personalities here.

Then I got drunk and told all of you that I loved you. I do that when I drink, I am told.

I would like to use the TFP as a template to set up a board at my workplace... different threads, IM capabilities, chat, attachments, everything. What a great communication tool! Then I realized the one problem. Where would the TFP mods be, to keep everyone civil and on track?

I quickly discounted my "Workplace TFP copy" idea.

Say it loud, Say it Loud: I Love TFP and I'm PROUD!

Definitely a good job done by the staff here. I'm on a couple other boards (both band related), and this one is by far the best. No bullshit goes on here except for in the appropriate forum, and that is fantastic! Why it took me so long to actually join here after I'd been told about it, I'll never know.

Something I appreciate is the cumulative maturity - the different threads have so often given me a reflective pause - and the rounded consideration shown in the way the moderators participate within the community is like a good health cell in the body.

times I shake my head and actually say aloud "damn fine" or "excellent" when a particularly ept articulation is posted . . . luvin' it folks

I have appreciate the TFP so much. When I get up in the morning I can't wait to check it out. Just to see what new interesting discussion has begun or what tidbit of interesting news or facts are on the board. I have found it an education and a sounding board for a lot of lifes daily battles and frustrations. Hubby and I were cheered on in our hunt for a house and some of you celebrated with us when we found it. I could type a huge post elaborating on the ways hubby and I both enjoy this community. Thanks

A BIG thanks to Hal and all of the other mods around the TFP for all that they do for us. Without you guys, this forum could never be as interesting, open-minded, and generally cultured as we are. Props to all, and let's keep up the good work!

Spectre and Tecoyah said it...it's through your help that we're able to do a good job moderating. Reporting posts, notifying us through chat...these things truly make our life a lot easier and help keep TFP running smoothly. So, to be a bit cliche, thank YOU

you mods./admins are so modest

Don't let your thanking US take away from the huge appreciation we have for all of YOU . . .
