For me, the ferry docks are a five to eight minute drive from my house so I will likely take the ferry (if I go).

By the way, if anyone is planning on taking the ferry let me know... maybe we can go together.
But liek tech said his house is close to the ferry...I will get lost taking the 1000 islands bridge!

Hmm.

If you can get a bed for me (not as young as I used to be) i'll see what I can do about getting there from NYC.
I Don't drive so I guess I'll have to do trains and such..

a cheap hotel might work. As long as the wife doesnt think I m spending too much lol.

It will be just me coming though. Wife and son will be staying home.

you can put me one notch closer from Maybe to actually attending.

If I do attend I'll bring some spirits to and nyc specialty items upon request such as canolies or bagles or such.

went from 50% to 65% attending.

Tec,

Look forward to meeting you and everyone. Is there anything I can bring?

And as I have stated if anyone needs picked up from Ohio or wants to meet me here and have me drive or needs picked up along my way I will gladly do so. I love company when I drive.

I plan to weekend park in TO and ferry over the evening of Friday the 22, and take the Sunday afternoon ferry back. Floor space and hopefully a blanket will provided, and someone will take me along on a ride to a grocery store/firewater distributor where my contribution to the get together is assembled. Does this sound workable to the Hosts of Rochester?

If I can come I will be there on the Saturday ferry. According to the schedule it doesn't leave Toronto until 11:30. That would get me into Rochester at around 1 or 1:30pm. I may have to make changes to take the 19:00 ferry on Friday night so I can make an early morning tee time rather than twilight on Saturday....

I agree we need fewer XY and XX...

After painstaking research, it seems that, should any wish to stay in a hotel,
Comfort Inn West on West Ridge Rd is about the closest to party central at 6 miles. Rooms run about $80 or so. (staying in Rochester ain't cheap!)
Amend: Residence Inn at starting rate of $59 a night is also 6 miles on Paddy Creek Circle as is Marriott Courtyard.

This does not mean I am going.....
