me neither -- I guess that's a good thing, walking the red carpet is not my idea of a good time, Joan Rivers just wouldn't be kind...
Mel Gibson's gotta be bummin' No major nominations for Passion... I didn't see a lot of movies last year, but it looks like some interesting choices...

This was a great year for movies, sounds to me like you just saw the crappy ones (I kinda liked Shrek 2).

Same here... no wait, I did see part of Shrek 2 before turning it off. A *cough* friend had *cough* downloaded it. It wasn't even worth watching for free.
I wouldn't mind seeing Sideways. That looks like it might be good. The rest of the process is just self-congratulatory tripe. I have never seen an awards show and I don't ever care too. Well, maybe the Nobel Prize awards ceremony, but even that is pushing my tolerance.

I thought Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was an incredible movie. I'm very dissapointed it didnt get more nominations.

i too enjoyed eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. i definitely thought that it had a bit more potential than what was put out, but regardless, great and refreshing idea for a film. the rest of it though, ill readily admit, sounds like crap
(haven't seen any other movie on the list). |

The Incredibles and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind were good movies. Spider-Man 2, Before Sunset, Supersize Me and the Passion of the Christ were all good as well. And Sideways is supposed to be excellent.
Yeah, Hollywood has made some crap, but it's not all crap. |

I saw three of the movies nominated. They are: Collateral (Supporting Actor) which I saw a bootleg of, The Village (Music), and Troy (Costume Design). The only movie of those three that I remotely enjoyed was Troy. Most of the other movies nominated seem like pretentious boring shit to me.

Sideways was excellent, and I very much enjoyed Closer (Clive Owen and Natalie Portman deserve those acting awards--it was an incredible performance) and and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Maria Full of Grace was also excellent.

I would bet money that 75% of the movies I watched this year were produced before 1960. If you have to use sex and/or violence to sell tickets to your movie, you have failed as a film maker.
Where have all the writers gone?!?!
