John Basedow was vacationing in Phuket, Thailand when the Tsunami hit and has not made contact with his publicity agent, Paquita Jean-Charles (see cotact info above). Manta Communications, the company that produces and distributes the John Basedow video series is seeking any additional information. The United States State Department and the Royal Thai Government Foregin Ministry has been contacted but unfortunately is unable to provide any additional information as to Mr. Basedow’s whereabouts. Any information or questions should be directed to Paquita Jean-Charles at mantafit@safe-mail.net.

As much as I hate those commercials, I still hope he turns up OK.

Yeah, I hope so too. There are so many Americans that are unnacounted for. Within a few months time, the number of American casualties will skyrocket.

I was scrolling through and saw this. I had no idea who John Basedow is, so I did a search, and his official website says he is okay, and that he has never even been to Thailand.

You gotta wonder why someone would make that up. Must be interesting to read that you are dead.

And the media wonders why no one takes them seriously. My bosses sometimes put out press releases. When I read them in print the next day, the info is all screwed up because everyone wants to put their own twist on the story. Half the time, they just make something up just to make it sound good. Why can't the media just stick to facts?

I bet 0.37 cents that John's fitness company reported him missing in order to bring attention to his new "half hour infomercial" coming out soon. I certainly wouldn't put it past him. Before reading this I had no idea WTF he was.
