That is a brilliant find :D, couldnt find anyone with people in it though. Seems really weird to be watching people like that.

Fallon 01-02-2005 02:08 PM

This one is odd, it's like a designer town being built, sat here and zoomed in on lots of things, pretty nifty.

You can also fiddle around with the settings in the address bar. For example, putting "&Language=0" puts it in English.

Redlemon 01-03-2005 07:26 AM

And I thought the LiveJournal image grabber was spooky. Whoa.

Skerious 01-03-2005 07:31 AM

Hell. Rednecks here tie them to trees with a chain. Those pooches have it pretty good by that basis.

omega2K4 01-03-2005 05:45 PM

Haha. This is great.

Zephyr66 01-03-2005 06:22 PM

i love these thing, they make you feel so powerfull

lasiv7 01-03-2005 08:31 PM

Its pretty cool to be able to see what happens on the other side of the world. I notice that some are night-time and some are day-time. Its not as much fun for me. I have dial-up. (slow motion)

Fearless_Hyena 01-03-2005 10:21 PM

Here's a Japanese restaurant, with sound!!

Fearless_Hyena 01-03-2005 10:35 PM

You can also google "/LvAppl/LvAppl.htm" for another type of camera.

Well, that has wasted hours of work time. Have to do something productive while I watch people.

japhyryder 01-04-2005 08:37 AM

Quite interesting

edmos1 01-04-2005 09:11 AM

this is crazy, is this a certain type of camera, or just horrible network security?

Psycho Dad 01-04-2005 10:26 AM

I believe these are panasonic cameras of some sort. As far as security, I'd say securing them is possible as I've seen some ask for passwords, but I doubt anyone really gives too much of a shit because it isn't like they are government sites and shit.

Rekna 01-04-2005 10:33 AM

I found one the other day that was at laurnce livermore national labs. I found that pretty disturbing.

Do you have the link to this one?

Rekna 01-04-2005 12:32 PM

I'm looking for it again but cant find it. I remember one of the presets was pointing at some sort of number display that was probably a temperture or something. I figured it was one of the national labs when one of the presets zoomed in on a monitor and the bottom of the monitor said the name of the lab (not on the screen but on the actual monitor). I went through all the ones i visited and can't find it at the moment. But i noted which ones are black so that I can't see anything. I will check those later.

Anyone see this place?

Ella 01-04-2005 02:52 PM

It wants me to install "active x" - can anyone tell me what this is and what it will do to my PC?

brinkn1 01-04-2005 03:09 PM

Awesome! What would you do if you were watching one of these and witnessed a murder? Oooooh creepy!

ehh19 01-04-2005 03:39 PM

these are really cool! Awesome Find. whats the coolest thing someone has seen?

boxcarracer277 01-04-2005 05:48 PM

It doesn't seem to be working for me, is everyone downloading the stuff it asks you to? Most of the ones I've seen are from "Kyusha Matsushita Electric Co., Ltd.". Just wondering if anyone knows if that would be a safe installation or not.

Mate, a couple of people have asked that question (myself included) and are also being ignored, so either people don't know or don't want to tell!

Rekna 01-04-2005 09:47 PM

I didn't have to install anything, but have you tried installing java? I'm using firefox with java installed and it is working just fine.
