In Titty Boards men are howling after stars and amateurs. Is it just a show or would you people really date or marry those women?

I would probably date a stripper or pornstar of either gender if I really fell in love. Provided that this person would be intelligent and good conversationalist, ambitious & extroverted, those are the things I usually get attracted to. Looks are not that big factor for me. There's a base level and everybody above it I consider "good looking enough" and look at their other merits. Atleast I could assume a porn actress or actor would be realtively open to suggestions in bed, but would they want to do "work at home? :P

Prostitution would be too much to handle for me. I can live in an open realtionship, but her/him sleeping with people I don't trust and like.. Not good, I'd be jealous and suspicious.

IMHO Prostitution (in the US anyway) is too dangerous a way to make a living, and is illegal besides so that's out. The others wouldn't bother me at all.

I doubt i could date a prostitute, or any of them really seriously. I have my midn made up that people who generally work in those professions tend to do so for very messed up reasons. Sure it's a nasty stigma they carry around, but if i met someone who was very kind and sweet and not fucked in the head, I could reconsider my answer on a per person basis.

a) Not a practicisng pro, but if she was a wonderful person who had been a pro in the past due to 'necessity', bad choices or whatever, then yeah.

This pretty much reflects my thoughts on the subject, although some extensive STD tests would have to be performed in all cases. I'm perfectly healthy and would expect my partner to be as well.

It's a show. To some degree, a lot of these women aren't actually available. They're either married or gay. They do what they do for money, for the thrill, and/or for the feeling of power it gives them.

While there are guys who don't know this, I suspect lots of guys do know it, and simply like the fantasy.

I have to disqualify myself on this one because I have been happily married to the same woman for most of my life.

But, I have some thoughts about the question.

First, do you mean marry or date? Those could get two different answers, or at least two different perspectives on the issue.

Second, doesn't this question tend to assume that people would choose dates or mates based on appearance or sexual prowess? I noticed that a couple of people have already commented about personalities and common interests. For a long term relationship, aren't these considerations more important?

These are just my musings on the subject.

I don't think I could date a prostitute. Too many possible issues including diseases, emotional problems, sharing, etc., not to mention that it is illegal almost everywhere.

The other two would have to be case by case. If as you said, Suviko, they had all those other qualities I look for in a mate, smart, funny, spiritual, committed, etc., then I would consider it.

My very limited experience tells me that most would not, however.

Couldn't date a prostitute.. and it would simply come down to the person in the other two cases. If she had the qualities I like then her profession isn't much of an issue (except where it could be harmful to both of us, like prostitution).

I'd have to give a big NO to all 3 choices.. her profession could cause major problems and I wouldn't want to deal with it.

no to all of them, for the simple reason that a prostitute is just to dangerous, and pornstars and strippers pretty much only care about an easy way to make money, and not the real value of themselves and sex.

Guys on the Titty Boards are merely interested in visual consumption (at least at the moment they make those comments, at least I know I can be that way), and subsequently don't really concern themselves with who's actually on film.

I don't think the kind of people that I'm interested in would end up as prostitutes, porn stars, or strippers. It's possible that if the right girl happened to be of one of those vocations we would work around it, but I know at the very least that I would have major problems with a current prostitute or porn star.

It's all a question of situation.

A prostitute would just mean too much sharing, and would bring too many risks. As for strippers, well, I know 4, and through them I've met others, and I wouldn't date one. They're just too used to using men. I've always hated the game between men and women, and strippers are experts at it.

As for a pornstar - I guess she has the safest and sanest of the mentioned professions. She actually sleeps with other professionals. If the world knows what her ass looks like? Wouldn't bother me.

No to prostitutes because of the diseases and lack of safety controls. But let's remove those and say that they are Amsterdam/Bunny Ranch style where there is someone protecting the interest of the ladies. Plain and simple I don't think that I can share my lover like that.
