I have always used a star on top of the Christmas tree.

Well, we put up our tree last night and...

Angel.

We have a ribbon on top. It's a tradition that started when my wife and I had our first christmas on our own and couldn't afford an angel or star. We had to borrow money from my parents just to get a tree. What ever we didn't already have, we had to make due. Now the ribbon reminds us of everything we have and not to take it for granted.

It's too early to put up a tree. At least wait for a week before christmas.

We usually impale an angel on our tree...

December 1st is the outside date for putting up a tree. If my wife had her druthers it would be December 1st every year...

I am partial to a couple of weeks prior to Christmas myself... If you wait for the week before it is just too short a time to have the tree up... In other words why go to all the trouble of putting it up if you are just going to take it down in a couple of weeks. Add to this the fact that trees are cool and the kids really like it.

Usually a star,but sometimes a angel.Depends on what we drag out first.

I don't have a star or an angel. I used a stuffed animal toy. It is a moose.

I haven't put up a tree since I moved out of my Dad's house, but then we used a star. My Mom uses a bow usually, but she tends to do a theme thing, so whatever the theme of the year is. I prefer a star.

This year we have an angel, my daughter likes them. We used to have a star. I have no preference, I just like to make my daughter smile,to me that is what Christmas is all about.

We use an angel....but not just any ordinary angel....its Taz (as in tasmaian devil) wearing a leather jacket with angel wings and a halo

For years we had a black angel. But when we figured out we weren't black we switched to a star.

I always use a large bow...but if I had to choose between star or angel, star all the way. If I ever find a star I like I may even get one.

People assume there were three because they brought three gifts (Gold, Incense and Myrrh).

Back to the question - I *think* ours is a star.

Not worth fighting over. I'd put a rubber penis up there if it made everyone happy.

a star .. because they are much cooler than angels :)

Well, there is a star on top of our tree because it was the prettiest thing I could find at the store when I was buying tree-ings. Had I found a prettier angel, I would have bought that.

Actually, I would love to put the Death Star on top of the tree. Or the Milennuim Falcon. But I have neither of those.

And I am pretty sure there were three wise men. I will look it up and get back to you.
