Man Charged With Sandwich Rage in Houston
Email this Story Dec 10, 9:38 AM (ET) HOUSTON (AP) - Road rage? Try restaurant rage. A 34-year-old man apparently angry that his $6 steak and cheese sandwich was too cold was arrested on a charge of threatening to kill the restaurant manager Wednesday. Police said the manager offered to reheat Devlin B. Nelson's sandwich or make him a new one when he complained. Authorities allege he instead demanded a refund, threw the sandwich at the manager, then threatened to kill her and blow up the restaurant. Nelson, a Houston public works employee, has been relieved of his duties pending the outcome of the investigation. He remained in custody Thursday. ---__ Information from: KPRC News, www.kprc.com, and KTRH Radio, www.KTRH.com. LOL!!!!! |
Do you mean would I want to:
A. Get arrested B. Throw a fit in a public place C. Throw a sandwich at someone D. Threaten to kill someone E. Threaten to blow up a building F. Put my job at risk by doing all of the above I guess the only one I really wanted to ever do was C but I was the employee, not the customer. |
yeah, i didnt think i had to state the obvious, but, yes: i am referring to throwing a sandwich at a fastfood manager.
*sigh* |
Maybe he had a bad day.
Maybe. |
What an asshole. People like this guy need some serious personality altering drugs, or a lobotomy.
|
fine, he's an asshole...but come on...i couldnt help but laugh out loud when i read the story the first time. HAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its like something out of a saturday night live skit...
|
You know, I have a friend who's a fast food manager, Perhaps we could stage something like this, that would be freakin' awesome!!!
|
Yes. I've wanted to do it, but the action I take is to not go back to that shop again. Why do people fly off the handle over little things like that? Is there a broken switch inside their heads?

About 20 years ago a similar event happened to me.
Now granted when I was 20 my temperament was much much worse than now, however, to a point I can relate. Long story short. Was in a chicken and rib franchised establishment with 3 friends. We all ordered the half chicken. When it arrived, theirs was fine, mine was pink and had blood coming out of it. At least 5 times I told the server that it wasn't exceptable, and 5 times I got a shrug. The manager came over, said all the chickens are cooked the same and didn't see anything wrong with the meal. I POLITELY asked for another meal and his response was no. I told him, and since my friends were finished their meals, that we would like the bill and that I wasn't paying for my untouched meal. He presented the bill, my meal included and said if I didn't pay, he'd call the police. I said fine call the police and proceeded to throw the raw chicken, plate and all right across the restaurant. We paid for 4 meals and left, and 20 years later won't patronize that very franchise. I know what I did was wrong, and was I an asshole for doing it? Maybe yes, maybe no. I guess I shouldn't have let my temper get the better of me. I should have eaten the chicken, got sick and sued the restaurant. Ahh the things one learns when they get older. |
^^^^ why doesnt cool shit like that ever happen when i am out to eat. you always hear about happening to the "other" guy. lol.

I can see where the guy's coming from. I mean, a cold steak and cheese? What kind of sick, fucked up individual would deliver a hungry man a cold steak and cheese? Huh? I think the manager should go to jail. Sheesh. That's some fucked up, repugnant shit. |
