I suppose it could've been worse. You could've gotten it up your nose. Then you could've walked around all day looking like a cokehead.
Seriously...you did wash your eye out...right?

If it still itches, I'd rinse it some more- -and check the bottle for instructions on what to do if it gets in your eye...

But seriously, laundry soap is, technically, not soap but detergent, and, as such, has properties that soap does not have. The pain you're feeling is, more than likely, some minor damage to your cornea because of the detergent, and if it still hurts several hours after a thourough washing, you should seek some qualified care. some things to try in the meantime: Continue to rinse, but try not to rub. Try a soothing eye drop, they will lubricate and also should wash as well. Try keeping your eyes closed for long periods of time. Tough to do if you're at work, driving, or even reading this baord , but that will help to keep your eyes moist and will also promote healing. Again, try not to rub them, it's a natural reaction, but it is not helpful. Good luck, and keep your face out of the powder! Try the liquid insteadm it makes GREAT shooters! Peace, Pierre

luke warm water and loads of it. gets all the crap out your eyes.
Once i was on top of my roof a home fixing a tile and got some dust in both my eyes. took me about 5 minutes to find that ladder and couldn't see shit. about 15 minutes with my eyes under the tap soon done the job.

Did they not go over, at the academy, that when you're neutralizing a combative suspect, to aim the pepper sray at him?

Usually when you start to wash it off, it activates again. The real fun is driving the suspect to the hospital for decontamination with only one eye open. |
