I figured out why parents don't talk to their kids.
I think the reason people don't talk to their kids honestly about smoking and sex is that they may catch their kids w/a smoke, after sex.
Then, that's an obvious sign that your kids don't give a fuck what you think. the conversation would be something like this: "mom, I listned to your opinion, dad, yours too" "I decided you're full of shit" (while smoking) "and I'm fucking my girlfriend in the ass, because I don't believe your full of anything but shit w/all this absiance talk. Do you have any idea how tight her asshole IS? The bible was wrong on that one guys..." "and a smoke after anal sex is a GREAT experiance" Parents can't handle that shit. I think that's why parents don't talk about it too much.

Its also true because their kids could walk in on them doing the exact same thing. "do as i say and not as i do" says your mother, with your father's peener in her poop-chute and a cig hanging from her lips.

The way my parents went about it was "this stuff can be bad for you, so it's best not to do it, but of course it's your decision", and then if they caught me doing drugs or whatever, they might have tried guilting me a bit, but it worked pretty well. I got the sex talk too, but I was too young to remember. Hell, you don't really need one when you start getting sex ed in grade 4 anyways.
