I had to hang with #16 for a bit too..

I got 20/21 as well--missed #20. But I got a great new word! Cachinnation!

Suave 12-02-2004 07:59 PM

I got a few, then I got bored. I'm not really a fan of using big words for the sake of big words though. Unless they're really awesome sounding words.

Got 'em all, but more from context than because I knew the precise meaning of each word.

Sort of by-the-by, one of my favorite phrases used to be "eschew obfuscation."

I feel dumb... okay, well time to take these SATs that I have been putting off for the past 4 years.

btw, for some reason #13 made me

Xell101 12-03-2004 12:47 PM

I got em' all. Context clues go a long way.

braisler 12-03-2004 12:55 PM

I would have to say that most of these are not so much vocabulary based as knowledge of arcane, "famous" sayings. I got them all, but many of them I knew what they were trying to hint at before I had read the first few words. Others, I wasn't as familiar with the saying and so it was more challenging to piece together what it was.

Got 18. Missed #s 1, 9 and 20. I love unremittingly ogled container.

Giant Hamburger 12-03-2004 02:40 PM

I would like to add "osculate my fundament."

Charlatan 12-03-2004 03:45 PM

Go forth and multiply...

FngKestrel 12-03-2004 04:15 PM

Got 16. Missed # 1, 2, 6, 16, and 20. Doh!

JJRousseau 12-03-2004 09:54 PM

Sort of an aside, but my new favourite word is callipygian.

OFKU0 12-03-2004 10:31 PM

I got them all wrong and realized silently that I'll never get those 5 minutes back.
