Beyond....vintage porn
This is where it all started......I will now bow down before the power of 17th century porn.
17th Century British Porn to Be Auctioned Email this Story Nov 26, 10:11 AM (ET) LONDON (Reuters) - The world's first known piece of printed pornography, described as the "quintessence of debauchery," is expected to reach up to 35,000 pounds ($65,040) when it is auctioned next month. "Sodom," penned in the mid-1670s, has been attributed to John Wilmot, the second Earl of Rochester and is described by auction house Sotheby's as a "closet drama rather than for the stage" with pornography "in almost every line." "We believe this is the first printed pornography in English literature, a unique copy of the quintessence of debauchery," Peter Beal, Sotheby's book specialist said. "It is one of the most notorious publications in literature and makes most pornography written 300 years later seem tame." The book centers on the decision made by a lustful King to "set the nation free" by allowing "buggary" to be "used thro' all the land" and then details the dire consequences. The book, the only surviving copy, will be auctioned on December 16. http://reuters.excite.com//article/2...GRAPHY-DC.html

Whoever pays $65,040.00 for this thing should realize that for that same money, they can join a good porn site, at $19.95 per month, for a little over...271 years.

But modern day porn sites just can't deliver the old fashioned buggary that I need!
Heh, I'm curious as to what kind of "buggary" goes on after they said it makes modern porn look tame.

Makes modern porn seem tame?!?! I don't know how much worse can it be than Japscat or GGG(German Goo Girls, for the neophytes). Seems to me that someone taking a shit on someone else during a sex act is pretty much the end of the line for debauchery, except for maybe a gang of 30 guys blowing their baby batter all over some nasty skank until she went bobbing for donuts in the Glazing tank at Krispy Kreme. Granted those are visual, but there is erotica out on the internet with some pretty horrible stuff in it....just the written word, no pictures, necrophelia, snuff, scat, etc.
Is it really beyond all that? I doubt it. Those words were uttered by an uptight auction house "book specialist". Think about it...what hasn't been done in the world of porn? Name one thing. If it's real, it's on the internet. If it's simulated (like snuff films or necrophelia) it's on the internet. Moreover, all of this stuff is pretty easily accessible to anyone with a computer and the desire to search for it. Scary when you think about it. For God's sake, there's people that get off dressing up in mascot costumes and others that like to dress up as horses complete with bridles and saddles.

I prefer to stick to one-on-one oral, vaginal, and anal sex.... No whips & chains, no gang-bangs, no scatplay, no puking, and definitely no animals for me.

Porn site owners just seem to be carrying on a grand tradition.
These folks were CRUDE.... I rise at eleven, I dine about two, I get drunk before seven; and the next thing I do, I send for my whore, when for fear of a clap, I spend in her hand, and I spew in her lap. Then we quarrel and scold, 'till I fall fast asleep, When the bitch, growing bold, to my pocket does creep; Then slyly she leaves me, and, to revenge the affront, At once she bereaves me of money and cunt. If by chance then I wake, hot-headed and drunk, What a coil do I make for the loss of my punk! I storm and I roar, and I fall in a rage, And missing my whore, I bugger my page. Then, crop-sick all morning, I rail at my men, And in bed I lie yawning 'till eleven again. |

Basically it's Shakespearean erotica. Very crude, doesn't really work for me, but maybe the 1693 me was all up over this stuff....verily.
Still the statement "...makes most pornography written 300 years later seem tame.", doesn't really hold true. I've read more graphic stuff, as I'm sure most of you have. Thanks for the links RedLemon.

As much as I love the sound of this writer, I would not pay thousands of $$$ for it. Another thing to note is that these writers were really considered hacks in their time and got almost no respect. That is th eprimamry reason why so many of the early works of erotica were written anonymously. Often they were reaspected writers who need some money, or wannabe writers who did not want to tarnish their name.
The history of erotica, and porn (although really not started until after photography in the late 1800's) is a failry fantastical journey. Peace, Pierre |
