I think cutting off ANY part of the body is too much of a punishment. Not only for stealing, but for most crime too. THe pain, horror, scars will be with them for a long long time.

Well considering John Bobbit is alive and well and doing pornography, yes they can in fact be re-attached....somehow. Only within a certain time frame though. If the water in the canal was cold enough it may have bought the ugh "units" a little more time.

I agree with KinkyKiwi that the only crime that fits such punishment is rape. Robbery of something material should only be punished with jailtime.

This is assuming that they were able to even recover the remains. I don't believe anyone went diving for penises in the canal. This also doesn't take into account the amount of bacteria in the canal which would be a huge concern in a reattachment.

I think my penis is worth a lot more than $1250! Not that I think $1,000,000 covers a severing either. I'm not usually one for revenge as the answer but in this case, I say give him back his money then cut his dick off and make him watch it being blended. Since he can't handle his anger around kids, maybe he shouldn't be able to have any.
