Is this a hoax?

I just got this at another forum. I've heard of bogus telephone deal that charges people outrageously when they say it's cheap or free, so I'm skeptical about this one. Well here it is:

Quote:
Hi

Good news for all O2, some Vodafone
tariff/Orange/3G Users. You can now call overseas for free using your inclusive free minutes.
There are many countries you can call for F R E E by using your mobile monthly free time or at local or national rate once your free minutes run out. It's usually cost 2p only.

Countries includes:
Algeria; Andorra; Antartica; Antartica, Mobile; Argentina; Argentina Buenos Aires; Armenia; Athens; Australia; Austria; Bahamas; Bahamas, Mobile; Bangkok; Bangladesh Dhaka; Belgium; Bermuda; Bermuda, Mobile; Bolivia; Bolivia, Mobile; Brazil; Brazil Rio De Janeiro; Brazil Rio De Janeiro & Sao Paulo; Brazil Sao Paulo; Brazil Sao Paulo & Rio De Janeiro; Brunei; Brunei, Mobile; Buenos Aires; Bulgaria; Canada; Canada, Mobile; Caracas; Chile; China; China, Mobile; Christmas Island; Christmas Island, Mobile; Cochabamba; Cocos Island; Cocos Island, Mobile; Colombia; Colombia, Mobile; Costa Rica; Costa Rica, Mobile; Croatia; Cyprus; Cyprus, Mobile; Czech Republic; Denmark; Denmark, Mobile; Dominican Republic; Estonia; Finland; France; French Antilles; Georgia; Georgia, Mobile; Panama; Paraguay Asuncion; Peru; Peru Lima; Poland; Portugal; Puerto Rico; Puerto Rico, Mobile; Reunion Island; Rio De Janeiro or Sao Paulo; Romania; Russia; Russia Moscow; Russia Moscow, Mobile; Russia, Mobile; San Marino; San Marino, Mobile; Santa Cruz; Sao Paulo; Sao Paulo or Rio De Janeiro; Saudi Arabia; Serbia and Montenegro; Singapore; Singapore, Mobile; Slovakia; Slovenia; South Africa; Spain; Sweden; Switzerland; Taiwan; Taiwan, Mobile; Thailand; Thailand Bangkok; Thailand Bangkok, Mobile; Thailand, Mobile; Turkey Istanbul; Ukraine Kiev; Uruguay; US Virgin Islands; US Virgin Islands, Mobile; USA; USA, Mobile; Uzbekistan; Venezuela; Venezuela Caracas; Zambia; Zambia, Mobile; Zimbabwe; Germany; Ghana; Gibraltar; Greece; Guadeloupe; Guam; Guam, Mobile; Hong Kong; Hong Kong, Mobile; Iceland; Indonesia; Indonesia Jakarta; Ireland; Israel; Israel, Mobile; Istanbul; Italy; Jakarta; Jamaica; Japan; Kiev; Korea South; Korea South, Mobile; Kyrgyzstan; Liechtenstein; Lima; Lithuania; Luxembourg; Macao; Macao, Mobile; Malawi; Malawi, Mobile; Malaysia; Malaysia, Mobile; Mariana Islands; Mariana Islands, Mobile; Mexico; Mexico City; Mexico Mexico City; Mexico Mexico City, Mobile; Mexico, Mobile; Monaco; Monaco, Mobile; Mongolia; Mongolia, Mobile; Moscow; Netherlands; New Zealand; Nigeria; Nigeria Lagos; Norway;

From fix line, you can also enjoy the cheap
international calling for just the price of a national
call (0870 794 6935), which is 4p at evening times
(6:00pm-8am) from BT fix line(8p at day time) and 2p
at evening times and 4p at daytimes if you are using
BT together package. It cost 5p to call 0844 570 6935
from any fix line at anytime.

Calling procedure:
1. Dial 0870 794 6935 (weekdays) /0844 570 6935
(Evening/weekends)

2. 1 second later, dial your international number in
full (e.g. 0086 10 12345678#, 0060 3 12345678#)

3. just talk if you're connected, just like any other
phone cards.

Simple? yes---no account , no pin number, no credit
needed, pay as you call (not like the phone cards will
expire in 90 days)

Cheap? yes---International call at the rate of
Local/national call.

This is NOT a CATCH, dont worry. you would not be
charged outside this 0870, 0844 calls.

You can contact me for more details.

the simple matter of fact...

if it sounds too good to be true... it probably isn't.

the person is probably routing a hacked PBX or other compromised phone system. Someone is going to pay for the bill...

Looks like BS to me but only because they say its for mobile phones. However my uses a card (used for 4 years) to phone the US other countries and they have recently lowered their charges for the US at the weekend, i say lowered it actually free. Plus other countries only cost 2p a minute at all other times.

There are deals out there you just got to find them. The no pin thing bothers me about the deal above. Never heard of a card with no pin.

One more thing the 087 number is not a premium number if i remember correctly 09.. are premium ones.

Now just confused. Still i'd take care.

Phone BT (100), tell them the number, and ask how much it costs to dial it. I don't think you can dial 0870 numbers out of free minutes on mobiles though. Never seen an 0844 number before, looks shifty.
