grendel 10-27-2004 07:28 PM

cloudy here :(

JStrider 10-27-2004 08:04 PM

yah... cloudy here too... got to see it thru a telescope during a couple small breaks in the clouds...

maleficent 10-27-2004 08:10 PM

I l ove the pics- the second one is stunning...

oblar 10-27-2004 08:16 PM

thanks for the pics ngdawg :)

i was really excited to see the eclipse, then today comes around and i see nothing but clouds... The sort of clouds that just like to act as one gigantic blanket. Currently outside my window it looks like a giant orange-ish sky with no stars, or moon in sight :(

Drider_it 10-27-2004 08:21 PM

its passing now.. seems slower exiting than starting

goddfather40 10-27-2004 08:26 PM

The whole fascination with a lunar eclipse doesn't make sense to me. Personally, I prefer solar eclipses mainly due to the fear factor of knowing if you look at the eclipse you'll fry your retinas.

Drider_it 10-27-2004 08:33 PM

well that is true.. i hated that eveyone wanted you to poke a hole though paper then hold it over another sheet of paper and watch it that way.. we always went next door to the machinest shop.. they had stuff that you would wear that was good enough protection.. but yeah i always waited till it was in full then watch it for a few.. man i can still remember the tears comeing from my eyes from the pain.. *stumbles around* sorry im blind now was that your feet?

kd4 10-27-2004 09:41 PM

it was raining in my area :(

ShaniFaye 10-28-2004 03:14 AM

I managed to watch from the beginning (9:14 est) to totality (10:23 est)

it was great...only a few clouds passed over so that you couldnt see but they were moving pretty quick....I tried to take pictures but they came out crappy :(

ShaniFaye 10-28-2004 04:06 AM

OH GOSH LOOK!! My camera captured the moon in a really wierd way!!!!

Ok so that was silly hehehehe ...but my pictures didnt come out near as well as ngdawgs so me and my lack of photo altering skills accidently did this and I thought it looked cool and halloweeny

Redlemon 10-28-2004 05:30 AM

No photos, but we went out to our deck last night and had naked sex in the light of the half-eclipsed moon (we couldn't wait for the full eclipse). I don't think any of the neighbors looked our way.

Cool pics, I missed it yesterday though. Yesterday I curled up with a book and blocked out reality :) I tend to do that every once in a while.

stonegrody 10-28-2004 11:10 AM

I got a chance to see it. I live in California so the earlier stages. I did get to see the red moon and watch it unveil throughout the night. It was pretty awesome.
