Holy shit that had to be fake. No fuckin way! I mean shit that was a long fuckin drop for one. Crazy how the dude got up and said "I'm cool dude I'm cool" then saw his hand and all the blood and freaked out and passed out. WTF is that black thing on his head? I mean it's not like something real like that happens with all that blood and then a frame later he's got this black thing on his head where he hit himself and looks to be wearing the same shirt and chain. It looked pretty fuckin real though....I dunno...shit thats fuckin crazy.

It's fake. The blood released too weirdly.
If it were real, he wouldn't be up and about like that.

I think it's fake. If you watch it slowly, between the part when he hit the wall and the part where the camera pans down to show his body the camera looks as if was turned off and on again. But it DID show him kinda fall off that ledge... maybe they put pillows or something down for his landing, then filmed him laying down a few minutes later.

Alright, I believe it's fake, but I have no clue how they did it.

*edit... definitely fake. I mean, his brains came out! I guess you could still live if it was the part of the brain that only stored phone numbers or the locations of area gas stations, but... hmm... maybe it IS real.

The video cuts when it's pointed at the ground. The shaking camera is an attempt to conceal that fact. It's a whole lot of fake blood.

It cuts when he jumps over, he cuts when he gets dropped, but those are technical items that I have no expertise concerning. What moves me to believe it's fake is that acting.

Word. Blood doesnt flow that quickly unless you've severed an artery or something, in which case he probably would be dead, or damn near to it.

I thought the release was eye fluid at first.

Looks very very fake to me. The way they are screaming, then his acting as he comes up saying he's ok. Plus the blood kind of pushed out in waves sort of if you know what I'm saying.

Way too fake. Anyone could do that with some willing actors and some fake blood. Not to mention a knowledge of simple video editing.

I would just say probably fake.

Actually it’s very well done. The convincing parts are that the story line makes since. This appears to be an accident that can happen and the victim incredibly walks away. Notice the way that the background sound of the traffic remains fluid throughout the places where some claim to be camera cuts. The victim, when he appears at the gate, seems to have real blood and his reaction is understandable and believable.

The action is believable. The trip off of the board does not seem forced or unnatural.

There are no giveaways as to a change in time that would indicate editing. By this I mean no changes in bright sunlight one moment and cloudy the next. No shadows falling in one direction in one scene and falling in another direction a moment later, no breaks in background noise.
All in all, I would give it an B+, perhaps even an A-.

The things that lead me to say fake:

1) The speed and the angle that the victim leaves the board does not seem sufficient to propel him all the way to the other building, more so, it seems like just enough to fall directly into the ally below.

2) The sound that he makes when he hits the wall sounds to me too much like what a foley artist would imagine a body to sound like when it hits a wall. My experience with hitting hard walls is that there is little sound other than my saying “opfffff.” However, the wall looked like wooden sheathing and I have no way of knowing how solid it was. It’s possible that a body thrown against a wall of this kind would make an audible noise, but I don’t think that the noise in the clip accurately captures this sound.

3) The position of the body. We see the victim clutch at the ledge before he falls. This means that the body had very little time to tumble as it fell. The body would then most likely fall feet first facing the building. The body would then fall away from the building backwards and landing face up, or if it had tumbled slightly, fallen on it’s side with the victim raising his arms to protect his head from impact. I cannot picture a scenario which would have the victim face down, parallel to the wall and his arm at his side.

4) The blood. This has already been mentioned several times. Sadly, I have witnessed an accident in which a worker fell off of a scaffolding and hit the marble floor three stories below. Because he had lost his balance and tumbled backwards, his body impacted with his body parallel to the ground and his head taking a direct hit. There was bleeding from the victims ear, but it pooled slowly. Not the intense spurt that appears after a delay like we see in the clip. However, I am not an expert on head injuries and how they bleed, but the way it appears in the clip seems suspicious.

5) The reaction of the others. This fact is the most disturbing of all and does the most to convince me of a fake. The reaction to the blood seems to come too soon, as if it were anticipated. The other reaction “What should we do?” and “We gotta’ get down there” mentioned twice seems too pat. It does not seem realistic to me for someone to see his bud fall to the ground and then say “What should we do?” I can see saying that when you get to the ground and not know how to give assistance, but to be up on the roof and not automatically assume that you’ve got to get to your buddy’s side seems a stretch. The idea of keeping the camera running and pointed in the right direction seems a bit far fetched to me also. I mean, if I fall on my head and have blood spurting out of me like a fire hose, put down the freekin camera and get to me!

6) As far as what I guess is suppose to be brains on the asphalt, well that is so far out there that I don’t even consider it a faux. It seems more like the film makers idea of a joke.

This being said, I still thought it was very well done, was very entertaining, and no, I can’t say with 100% accuracy (other than the stuff on the asphalt) that it was fake.

Holy crap, I hope I never see anything like this happen to anyone.

the black thing on his head...... maybe that is the beginning of the video and it housed the fake blood and brains,.....and they just show it at the end.

It was definitely a fake but a pretty good overall effort. The blood rushing from under his head was the most obvious touch.

Definitely fake. if you watch it in slow mo you can see him hanging off the edge of the wall with his head above it. Meaning there was no way he could even hit his head.

Funny stuff though.

Just watched this with the sound on and in my headphones. You can hear the differnt eq on the different voices as they've been edited and pasted in in the studio. The voices also fade out at one point. Boy, we're killjoys aren't we?!

My firewall, anti viral , and zone alarm found no virus...if there is one...it is new.

I didn't find a virus. But returning to the site several times to review the clip would occasionally trigger an attempt to download some spyware and a browser highjacker

sir, i salute you. you are indeed a fine young visionary who seriously needs a wider stage on which to perform your art. one day i too hope to try and emulate the work of such masters as Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O by skateboarding my way off a cliff and then getting up and grinning like a gibbon, while still on fire with fake blood squirting from my scalp and an alligator thrashing my penis from side to side.

Heh I rationalized all the inconsistencies in my head. For instance, it seemed reasonable to me that somehow the ground or something else in the fall took out a scrap of scalp and skull, and I remember somewhere that facial wounds bleed like the dickens. Also, adrenaline, etc. could account for his seeming quick recovery, then loss of consciousness. We've all heard the story where a kid cuts of his finger in shop class, but acts very calmly until the ambulance arrives and the shock wears off. And I was thinking that black patch was his skull implant covered with some material. I have no idea, I see all of the fakery points you guys were making, but when I was watching it my mind rationalized it.

Are you not paying attention? There is an obvious cut during the action which proves that it is a fake. I am betting the black blob is a bladder for fake blood which he glued on for the stunt, and the guy behind him with the box is working with their materials. As for the merit of making the video itself, I have found worse in Blockbuster.
