Regestering to vote? (California)
I'm regestering online for the first time and am a bit confused over what party to select. I'd like to select "decline to state," but will this effect my ability to vote in the coming election? I understand that "declining to state" can effect voting during the primary, but that's past so I'm not worrying about it right now.
Thanks for any info! -T

No, as far as I'm aware - in fact, I'm about as positive as I can be without being a CA citizen - declining to state will have no effect on your ability to vote in general elections.

Mark independent if you think something could go wrong with decline to state.

I first registered to vote outside of a Walmart in Los Banos, California. There was a card table set up, staffed by a volunteer - when I came up, he said, "Mark down 'Republican' if you're not sure what to put." I registered Green, just to kinda piss him off.
