My brother has space, but no website ideas
 

I got an e-mail from my brother this morning. It goes like this:

If you had a reasonably large amount of space for a website, what would you do with it?

When I'm done with my current charity project's website, after I do some updates to my own site (which is an all about me piece of crap) My next thing to entertain me will either be a recipes collection (though have no idea what angle I'd take yet) or a site for the town I live in - that has restaurant reviews and other stuff (right now one doesn't exist)

What are some of your brother's hobbies, interests, what's he passionate about, a website should reflect the owner in some way.

I'd use it to put my music on.. my own mixes and productions. But mal's right it should reflect him in some way.

wait a minute I have a ton of webspace.. I just don't use it.. hrmm.. maybe it's time to get those mixes online..

Well take me for example. I've got this 10 dollar a month website that has 1.5 gig of space with all the bandwidth I want. At first I felt the need to make somthing of it, so I made a public web gallery. It went well for about 2 months, then died off. Before that I was hosting a forum (still am) for a group of friends/people that I wont mention here.

Otherwise I keep it open for a large file dump to share with friends. I made a general Ftp account they log into, upload whatever they want and make use of it.

Another item I use is for mirroring / helping provide others files on forums. Often people have no place to put large movies or images, so I just helpout where I can.

He could make a personal blog site if he just wants to do something as a hobby. Then he could be free to post as many vids, pics, and such as he wants.

Donate the space to TFP. I think Halx would dig that.

Take my static cartoons and animate them.

My webspace which has no limits at all with either storage or bandwith is home to 3 seperate message boards....its also storage for all my music, all my photographs, its where I play with learning new fangled things like PHP ahahahahaha I've also offered it as a back up for old Foamy cartoons

once I get some space....usually i will put pages of my projects on there...my stuff for school...engine mods....make fiberglass boxes for cars...vehicle pics...etc...stuff like that...

I would use the site to post pictures of guys who need dates and the girls who are willing to fly 3000 miles to meet them.

If you want to make muny just do porn but some kind of weird porn that hasnt' been done yet

It might be worth both your time using the space to provide a service that nobody else offers, thinking of that service may be the tricky part... What common interests do you and brother share? And if the answer to that one is boobs/women then I'm sure no-one is going to complain about another sex site (apart from maybe your mom)!
