Challenge for those who like to search things on the internet...
If someone wants to, try to find the origin of the name Metchroy.
thanks. Slim |
man, and I thought I was lazy.
hehe, www.google.com , search and destroy.
Can I have a definition? None of my dictionaries can even find that word. Possibly you spelt it wrong?
i ask because i couldnt find any........
Searched through 389 search engines (Copernic) and got no results for it - lots of partial word matches, but nothing exact.
I'm stumped. |
In what context was the word used? Did you see it written down, or spoken?
I think it's a family name, and he wants to know the history of it. Google apparently doesn't even have one hit, so I'm stumped.
My guess:
Metchroy means King of the Land. From the root metch, meaning land/country in the Flaidish language and roy, meaning king. Flaidish: http://www.zompist.com/flaidish.htm Metch: http://www.zompist.com/flaidlex.htm Unfortunately, Flaidish seems to be some made up alien language of the made up alien Flaidish people. |
