Hurricane Ivan
Well, we made it through Hurricane Ivan safely. We are in Pensacola Florida which took quite a beating. We only suffered some down limbs and a lot of the tiles on the roof are gone. We were very lucky. The devastation in other parts of the city is incredible.
Guess I just live right. not only did we only have minor damage, but we already have power and phone service back. Please keep a good thought for all those that were not as lucky as us. |

My in-laws live at Navarre Beach, Fl. They lost the bottom floor of their house, but the second floor and roof are intact, and the remaining structure appears to be sound. Time and inspections will tell.
I have a friend who lives in Pensacola. I have been trying to reach him by cell for days with no success. Has anyone seen any photos of the beaches at the west end of Panama City Beach, particularly in the Laguna Beach area? Any info is appreciated.

Cell phones are still pretty iffy. Mine still doesn't work most of the time. Try the Land line if you have the number. Otherwise go to:
PensacolaNewsJournal.com. You can check different areas of the city and post notes to the readers. I haven't heard much about Panama City, but I know they got nailed with some tornado's. Last edited by Frowning Budah; 09-21-2004 at 03:18 PM.. |
