columbia crest merlot... it from washington state. after mount saint helens erupted, it unleashed ash all over the state which enriched the soil. It has it's own distinct flavor.

I like Hogue fume blanc as well....

Columbia Crest is a brilliant winery. How anyone can make 1.2 million bottles of great merlot??? Too bad they are owned by a tobacco company

Another good Washington state winery is Bookwalter.
