Lighten Up Frances!

Here is an image of hurricane Frances. I imagine there are quite a few people in Southeast Florida who have developed religion in the last few days and a few more that will convert in the next 48 hours.

Pray for them....:(

Mr Mephisto

TittyLover 09-02-2004 12:56 PM

Yikes! My brother lives in Miami. He was putting storm shutters up today.

JC

Averett 09-02-2004 12:56 PM

Yeah Mr Mephisto, about 2 weeks ago Charlie hit the west coast of Florida.

Hey Frances, stop being such a bitch! Nobody invited you to the party, go away

Scorps 09-02-2004 01:08 PM

I thought only one a year damn that 2, in 2 months...remind me to never move to Florida:eek:

KellyC 09-02-2004 01:45 PM

ahhhhh!! You god damn property destroying whore!!!!

djtestudo 09-02-2004 02:20 PM

It's always a good sign when the storm is twice as big as the state it's about to hit...

Glava 09-02-2004 04:30 PM

I'm in Miami, and I'm as non-religious as I've ever was.

I've been in a few hurricans years ago. It was scary and a whole lot of fun all rolled into one. I remember watching my bicycle being flipped into the air and thrown accross our yard.
Best of luck.

Carno 09-02-2004 07:08 PM

I'm riding it out in Melbourne.

Charley went by in about 3 hours, but for Frances it will take something like 24 hours to pass.

MageB420666 09-02-2004 07:22 PM

Maybe I should start investing in the larger construction companies based in Florida. That baby looks like its going to have one hell of a tantrum all over Florida, Good thing I'm hidden behind the Appalachans :D .

Although I do feel sorry for the people in Florida. :(

That stupid storm kept my girlfriend from going to the beach with her family.

I wonder if detonating a large nuke in the middle of it would disrupt it enough for it to loose strength and begin to disperse?

Fire 09-02-2004 09:45 PM

semms like a good time for land speculating- seroiusly, i fail to see how anyone lives there in a house not built like a fortress- there has to be a way to make em safer and more durable- earth contacts maybe- no, water tables too high- what about monolithic concrete domes? doesnt get cold there so thats a bonus for that type- do they have huricane building codes there?

Church 09-02-2004 10:09 PM

As of 2 AM on Friday morning.

If you use a ruler or something to test it out, this thing is the size of Texas!

I'm no expert or anything, but would that do anything? I mean, the hurricane isn't -in- the water. It's higher up, more in the clouds kind of thing. Right? Dunno. Just saying.

Necessary cool picture:

Sure it makes sense. If we've learned one thing from Hollywood movies, its that every single natural disaster can be diverted by detonating multiple nuclear bombs without consequence. :)

shipofshame 09-02-2004 10:59 PM

D'uh! How could I forget? :p

I actually think detonating a nuke in the eye of the 'cane would cause a massive disruption in the tides and whatnot. We'd probably see some pretty cool tidal waves and Tsunamis hitting the coasts of Florida and the Carribeans. Cooooool!

At least us Canadians are safe, right?

MrFlux 09-02-2004 11:15 PM

I would think that detonating a nuke in the middle of it would cause the fallout to be carried for thousands of miles, causing much more harm than the hurricane itself would. Sounds like fun :D

Pyromaniac 09-03-2004 12:11 AM

This is all we need, the hurricane jabber 2000!

Scorps 09-03-2004 08:59 AM

Maybe this time a stupid reporter will get killed by a flying Volvo

whocarz 09-03-2004 09:49 AM

You couldn't pay me to live in Florida.

I live in Oklahoma. If we were told well in advance a tornado was coming, but with only a whimpy 130MPH wind, we would all drag out our lawn chairs, get a case of beer and party.

A tornado does not cover thousands of miles and doesn't drop ten inches of rain.

maleficent 09-03-2004 11:18 AM

It was a category 4 - inching up to a 5 - -so it's less than Charley now - -but it could pick up steam again --

bullmoose 09-03-2004 11:35 AM

The farmers here, would sell their soul to the devil for 10 inches of rain.

foscon 09-05-2004 10:31 AM
