Have any of you gone to allofmp3.com. For those who dont know what it is, it is supposely an uber cheap BUT legal mp3 source. The legal part is a little hazy though. It is based in Russia I think. Any opinions???

I'm a fan of AoM. I've used them for a few months now and you can't beat the price and quality/options

Their content can be a little spotty though... they have artists I wouldn't expect to be there, but then they're missing some I would expect. Downloads are generally fast, never had any problems with the service.

Frickin love it.

I'm not too worried about legality--being one of the horde is pretty decent safety. Or, decent enough as long as the RIAA sues only in batches of hundreds.

They don't cover every group I've ever wanted them to (no B52's!?) but they have LOTS of electronica, downtempo and chillout.

At these low prices I highly doubt a substantial amount of money if any at all goes to the artist so what is the point in buying from a middle man what you could have for free? If it eases your conscience then that's great but it seems like nothing more than a senseless waste of money to me.

How's the black/death metal selection?

Hell no, but Citibank has a nice feature where you can generate a random one-use credit card number. It's disposable, so no worries giving it to the Russians.

I've been using them for a few months, I love it. I like how you can choose what quality you want. I haven't had any werid charges with the credit card either.

Works beautifully. Yeah, I do trust them with my card number. Haven't had any problems.
