I got 3 new shirts... Yay or Nay?

Hey, someone just got these 3 shirts for me, I'm kinda in the middle of whether they are cool or not. They're all silk which is nice and comfy, so that is cool Take a look at the pics and tell me what y'all think. Thanks! I'm 18 if that helps with deciding whether they are cool!

Well... I'm a Nay. I'm not a fan of those sorts of shirts.

But what do I know, I'm a 26 year old woman, I may be way out of touch

As long as you like them, thats all that matters.

eh...

too expensive to maintain and keep. each time you wear them they should be dry cleaned. I'm not a dryel person so it's off to the cleaners...

prints are okay.. but not for me.

Instead of photographing the shirts on hangers, take a picture of yourself wearing each one. I can't give you a "yay" or "nay" until I see them on you. Plenty of shirts look great on other people but ugly on me.

great point! if it doesn't hang well on you...then it won't look good even if people do like the print.

I don't mind #1 and #3 but for some reason the pattern on #2 bothers me.

I would third the request for pictures on you. Some people can completely pull off a look, others need the look pulled off them and replaced. As for the fact they're silk, well, that was a fad when I was a sophmore in HS, early 90's, have they come back?
It's like those pleated skirts I see everywhere. I somehow doubt half the kiddies wearing them have any idea those were the bomb in the 80's.

I sort of like them!

Just make sure that you wear them along with black pants - you'd look classy that way I'm sure

well you are wearing them now.. but your pose is with your arms up in the air.. that makes it hard to see how the material hangs... it looks short to me because your arms are pulling the material upwards...

but it's better than before... I'm still saying Nay.

Awww....who's gonna look at you with that cute cat around

Actually, when I see them on, I like 3 best, 2 next, and 1 not at all! Could just be the lighting, but I think the lighter ones look better.

Not my style, so my opinion will only be jaded.

21 years of age, and in college. Just doesnt seem to fit, at least for my region and way others dress.

At best those would be club shirts.

i'm not really a fan of silk shirts, nor am I a fan of those particular prints/designs on the shirts. I wouldn't wear them, so i'm going to go with a 'nay'.

All that matters is that you like them. Everyone has their own style and taste in clothes. I don't even own a short sleeve button up shirt of any kind so my opinion shouldn't matter to you because we have totally different style.

Not my style, too busy. But foresure, I really don't like #1. If I had to wear one, #2 would be it then #3. The most important thing is, do you like them? If you do, then who cares. Find your style and stick with it!

You gotta wear them unbuttoned, let the material hang a bit but not be baggy, wear them with matching clothes and look cool in them, pose in them and style with em; basically, clothes look about as cool as you can wear them.

I don't know, that's just what I think; I could be wrong tho'

yeah, i say wear them unbuttoned with classy pants, a white undershirt underneath (t shirt, just plain), and a black belt with a silver buckle. Maybe half button up the shirt and tuck the front of it in so you see the buckle. That's a look of today.

I think I'm the onle one who likes the first one! I'm not a huge fan of the other two, but I would hold onto them. Like the others have said, if you get the classy pants and shoes happening, nice belt with a shiny buckle, I think you can pull them off and look like a million bucks.

They probably make people think you're gay when you wear them, but as long as YOU don't feel gay, it should be ok.

Yeah, they remind me of just about every annoying person I know for some reason. Like everyone else said in this thread, it's up to you what to wear...if you like them, go for it. I certainly don't let other people decide what I wear!

Good choice swapping them. I really like solid button ups. But I hate black, i try to stay away from it with my nicer shirts. For my nice shirts theyre all solid long sleeves. Ash Grey, Light Blue, Faded Tan, and a Pink one for good measure. God i love my pink shirt.
