A bit more on-topic, I come from New Mexico and my father has devised a four-step plan for solving the state's financial woes, to be completed all in one day:
Step 1: Secede from the Union.
Step 2: Declare war on the US.
Step 3: Surrender.
Step 4: Apply for financial aid.
