Ok, in an attempt to make the TFP more popular, I've come to ask all of you for assistance!

Ok, Google is, as you know, the #1 search engine out there. They lease their engine to thousands of sites around the internet, and so a high ranking on their pages is always sought after.

The way Google ranks pages is fairly simple. Basicly, the more sites that link to your site, and the more popular they are, the higher your rank. They keywords that you get ranked for are those that which people include in their link to you.

Right now, the TFP is a pretty popular site. We have a fairly high rating with Google. We actually show up #1 on the search for the dictionary word: tilted. I wanna make it even more popular, though.

So, I would love if those of you with personal webpages would put a link to the TFP and add a description next to it. ... especially if you link to your webpage with your homepage URL.

I already have it linked as "get tilted" - are you trying to get us to add descriptions so that more people click or are you just trying to get TFP to show up higher on the list for words other than "tilted"?

AND if you do link with the button, make sure to include a description in the image's ALT tag.

the TFP rules state.. you're allowed a link to one website via your homepage link in your profile (the WWW button that appears under every one of your posts)

I'm doing a major overhaul of my website and I'll be sure that I included a descriptive link to tfp

I don't get alot of hits but it should help a little

BTW, if there any specific word or phrase that you'd like to have mentioned in the description?

When the donations fall short, he pays out of his own pocket. He's specified that additional links can be discussed along with advertising fees. If he has to pick up the tab to have a place for all of us to hang out, he can advertise a couple of his own sites that were spawned from TFP.

That makes sense.... Hopefully things pick up in the donations department so Halx doesn't end up in the poor house with the rest of us!
