The worlds most unsanitary gadgets

Hallo, I'm Jim and I'm new here.

Gizmodo is a tech blog I read that is full of wonderful geeky things. I was surprised, but in a pleasant way. to see this sexy PDA on display today :)
depending on where you work, may not be entirely safe.

Spiceplay - World's Most Unsanitary Gadgets

If T&A weren't enough to get you on board, Spiceplay.com -- which I must warn you is fully Not Safe For Work, as there are human breast meats there -- is not only selling the standard memberships to view their adult photo shoots, but are now also auctioning off the gadgets fondled by their models, as well. If you've been wondering where, exactly, to purchase an overpriced iPod mini or Palm (PDA) that was nestled near some girl's coochal region, well, now you know.

hey there, welcome! :) Just for future reference, it's customary to include the article quoted in your post so people don't have to click. I'll add it in for you this time ;)

On topic, that's pretty funny. Although, there's no way I'd pay extra just because it was near some naked woman whom I'll never see personally anyway.

So if you saw her personally sometime, that'd change your mind? ;)

I don't think I'd buy something just because it was 'near some naked woman' (to use SM70's terms)... but then.. there's a market out there for everything.. so I'm sure the guy will make some money off this idea.

I thought this was going to be a thread about doorknobs, or subway stairwell hand railings.

Oh well.

As long as there are horny geeks, there will be a market for something like this. :)

(there's nothing wrong with horny geeks, i'm kinda one myself ;) )

water_boy1999 07-21-2004 08:07 AM

Kinda one, Analog???? lol

Don't know if this is something I would buy just because it was near some hoochies koochie. Now if they gift wrapped an iPod with some girl's panties, then I might be inclined to think about it.

kutulu 07-21-2004 08:37 AM

That's a pretty lame reason to jeck up a price. Unfortunately, people will buy it.

Halx 07-21-2004 09:14 AM

It is illegal to ship a 'soiled' item through the postal service, so all of this stuff that they're selling has gotta be properly cleaned or else they can get the feds on their ass.

jaco 07-21-2004 10:41 AM

It's all in the buyers mind anyway *shrug* as long as they feel aroused while organizing their new pda, I guess its all they want.

Can't they just get around that by using a major shipping company?

I'm sure the same rules apply because you can still UPS or DHL some anthrax to someone.

jimmyjambam 07-21-2004 12:02 PM

heh, well i took a look around and the items arent really touching anything that would require it to be sanitized.. so i think they are fine with sending through the mail.

and based on the current bidding for their ipod. its going for about $40

I might try for it since I don't have $250 for a new one..

and sorry for not quoting the article..
I will in the future :)

xjumper84 07-21-2004 08:17 PM

unsanitary? just my field.. working at a sanitary district and all.. what would you like to know about?

animosity 07-21-2004 09:13 PM

my first thought was, who would care if it has been near a woman? but i guess some people do... the good thing about the internet is you have a much larger market, so even if you only reach 0.1% of your market, you are still doing very well.

i guess i should start selling ipods that have been on my crotch...

Remember, there's some geeks out there that this will be the closest they get to a woman all year.:)

I've got a friend out in Japan and they have "soiled panties" in vending machines. I wonder how far the US is from getting to that point ... and if it ever get's to the point where we have coke machines next to fruit of the loom machines.

yup. I thought this as well.

And oh yeah, this wouldn't make me buy a PDA I don't need anyway. I 'm a big fan of tech stuff, but hey, if I don't need it, then I don't need it. I don't care what or who it smells like.

Oh well.

I read (somewhere) that Bank Counter surfaces are some of the dirtiest places for germs and such. The counters are generally taller and people are constantly touching, couching, wiping them while waiting for their money.
