I'd have to say about 8 or 9. I used to run through the woods and fish every single day during the summer. Nothing to worry about and loving every minute of it.

3 or 4. Not a worry in the world, and all you do is goof around all day.

I have got to say I'm pretty happy with my current age -- 33. I have had experiences that range from extreme happiness to down right dispair along with learning from experiences of individuals around me and feel that I am a better person because of them. I am earning a wage where I have enough disposable income to live life without having to worry about my next paycheck. And I, most importantly -- I have my health... both physically and mentally.

2000.

It would be nice to remember all the way back to the fall of the Roman Republic. Sure, little puffs of dust may shoot out of my joints whenever I moved. Perhaps I would periodically have to bathe in the blood of virgins to stay alive. My skin may hang like loose bags and pool upon the floor, but it would be worth it to say I predate Ovid's Metamorphoses.

Who's with me?

I think the last time I was truely happy with myself was the summer after highschool. I'd like to be 18 again and stay that way. But I also think that the it's also the time in history that matters too. I'm sure being 18 today would have been different than it was 5 yrs or 10 yrs ago......

Oh man, I was laughing so hard when I read these two posts.
Damn, it feels so good to be in the last year of high school, having (almost) everything worked out for you and nothing more to worry about. Then you get that magical admition letter for the university. You are so sure that life will keep on getting better. So much already accomplished, and so much more sure to be accomplished. Then post high school life hits you. Gone were the days of care free life. Responsibility and obligation arrives, now you have a more complicated life and a greater work load to worry about.

Anyways, I am just speaking from my personal life, I am sure many of you managed to live a better life after 18 but some of you may not. So I guess what I am saying is to enjoy everyday of you life.

Well, I'm 18 right now. This time last year, I was swimming with my boyfriend (getting tan) and getting awesome grades in summer school. I was care free, like you said.

This summer, I'm driving to college summer courses that are across town, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, and I have to get a fender for my dad so that we can fix the dent I put in his car. I'm looking for a job, and getting ready to start community college in the fall. I am STRESSED.

However, I am finally sensing that I can earn money and know a little about what I wanna do after college (teaching English in France, maybe?)...I dunno, I hope I'll be successful.

It looks like I share the same sentiment as alot of people here,
I would like to know what I know now and be in my early 20's.
I have made alot of mistakes along the way. I am totally happy with my marriage and kids, though.

20s would be about right, just old enough for anything you want to do without being too old to know better.
