If you were any age...
If you were to be any age, what age would you want to be? And why?
37
Old enough to run for president, old enough to know what I want and what I am doing in my life. Old enough to get taken seriously by people. |
I was thinking older, but really I think being young where you don't have any responsibilites would be great. I am so tired of changing diapers and paying the mortgage. but not too young I really hated school. maybe like 18, old enough to buy porn, too young to own a house.
18. Everything goes downwards after that.
Well, crap. I'm 18 now. What's so bad about life after 18? :(
Any age with what I know now? Any age forever?
20 something. 22 or 24 ...
18 as long as I can know then what I know now!!!
23
Old enough to drink vote and be taken seriously by most everyone. Also my insurance will be cheaper :) |
21. That was my first time touring with a band and had the time of my life. Chicks, chicks and more chicks. Sometimes two at a time.
Also gave me alot of insight as to how many people are full of shit just to get a piece of what you have. I learned more when I was 21 than the previous 20 leading up to it. And almost 20 years later I can honestly say that defined who I am today albeit I am still growing and changing as a person. |
Hi all,
hmm well that depends, do i get to keep the knowledge that i have accumulated all these years? If so then I would say about 20. Still vibrant and young, with a whole life ahead of me. I would say i wasted a good part of the next 14 years to follow. I would do a lot of things differently, study harder at university, get into the field i really wanted (accounting) and plan my savings earlier. I would be further ahead in my career and most of my planned early retirement egg would be in place. Gotten into a gym earlier and get into the shape i am in now.. i look 100 times better than when i was in university.. can u believe that? for a guy? Also the sex would be a whole lot better ;), definitely explored more with my gfs at the time and not waste time on the ones who wanted to play games.... ahh those wasted years... "time lost is never found" |
21. Old enough to drink, but still considered young. :)
35 is just right. I want that president position. And I understand that if I look like I'm 16 now, I'll look like I'm 25 then.
has to be 18 again...first year of uni the best time of my life and i guess i could correct some mistakes :)
if i could keep what i know now, i would be 19 again. in lvoe for the first time, and no responsiblities
I'd say 25. After that you get no more benefits(I don't want to be Pres.)
25 your still young, but definately an adult. |
The age I am now cause I wouldn't want to go through any of what I have already been through again.
I think 29 is just fine. I am just starting to figure things out:)
hmm... well, if i had to go back & repeat history, then i'd prefer to stay right where i am.
if i could take with me what i've learned, then park me in about somewhere betwixt 23 & 26, when my body was youthful & i was full of energy. |
18. I'd like to take another shot at college. If I didn't loaf it for the first 3 years, my average would have been alot better. Plus I've definitely missed out on alot of fun. Damn you, MMORPGs! :D
i would have to say around late 20's to early 30's. That way I will have a decent job, my own place, and will be taken seriously by all those around me.
however, this is subject to change depending on what i feel like when i actually reach that age ;) |
I want to be in my 70s or 80s. Long life of work ending with a few serene years of senility and sexlessness.
21....your are legal for everything then.
40 something...it's all down hill now
pecker doesn't work the same , what you put it in you won't admidit too. I haven't seen titts that don't point down for at least fifiteen years now.....And to be honest I haven't seen my feet in over five years. |
I'm 22 now and it seems like a great age...but I'm a slacker and don't have a job. 19 would be great again, just go to college and chill. I guess I should be living it up now since lots of posters think I'm the prime age. =/
I'd give it around 27. Old enough to do everything, probably well enough established to have money to do a lot of things.. probably either have a family or begin establishing one..
I just assume that the world is peachy after 27. I bet when I hit 27 and am still some hippie punk kid, I'll cry. |

I think the last time I was truely happy with myself was the summer after highschool. I'd like to be 18 again and stay that way. But I also think that the it's also the time in history that matters too. I'm sure being 18 today would have been different than it was 5 yrs or 10 yrs ago...... |
my current age is fine but I would like to be able 'borrow' the 17-18 year old body/vetical (from the neck down at least) now just to play basketball with on occasion.
A few select joints seem to have taken a dim view of my abuse on them in the past decade or so with nowhere enough sleep or food at times. |

I'm feeling pretty good about 23 at the moment. I suppose there are good aspects to every age - the trick is putting yourself in the position to take advantage of them.
I like living through all of life's akward ages, so I wouldn't want to change my age.
However, 20 years from now, I will probably want to be this age again. |
I always have liked my age and each year I like it better.
8 yrs. old....with my current knowledge. I could then quietly put the pieces in place for world domination, over a twenty-five year period.
Mentally, I like my age (late '40s). I know myself now as I never did before. Physically, I'd take off 20 years or so, just for the extra energy.
What a thought, staying a cetain age forever! I think I would choose 21 or 22. I had some great times in those years, before any real responsibilities hit, and partied like a rock star. I was still playing plenty of golf, and baseball. Yep, that's where I'd like to be.
Generally, I am more content with life as I get older. I was a mess in my early twenties. I have no intention of repeating that again. This year I pick 29. Next year 30 and so on. My grand plan is to retire in my 60s and sit on the front porch drinking lemonade. I wouldn't be able to achieve that being stuck at 18.
I'm thinking...around...oh, 25 or so.
18 !!!
if not that then 1 |
35- 40...maybe even 50-60 for me.
The thought of being 18 or 20 again does not interest me at all (you think you're all grown up and know everything when you're actually just an annoying little puke)...been there done that. |
what I am now- 25- I've come a long way and I enjoy every minute of it. wouldn't change a thing.........
I'd have to say about 8 or 9. I used to run through the woods and fish every single day during the summer. Nothing to worry about and loving every minute of it.
3 or 4. Not a worry in the world, and all you do is goof around all day.
I have got to say I'm pretty happy with my current age -- 33. I have had experiences that range from extreme happiness to down right dispair along with learning from experiences of individuals around me and feel that I am a better person because of them. I am earning a wage where I have enough disposable income to live life without having to worry about my next paycheck. And I, most importantly -- I have my health... both physically and mentally.
2000.
It would be nice to remember all the way back to the fall of the Roman Republic. Sure, little puffs of dust may shoot out of my joints whenever I moved. Perhaps I would periodically have to bathe in the blood of virgins to stay alive. My skin may hang like loose bags and pool upon the floor, but it would be worth it to say I predate Ovid's Metamorphoses. Who's with me? -GH |

Damn, it feels so good to be in the last year of high school, having (almost) everything worked out for you and nothing more to worry about. Then you get that magical admition letter for the university. You are so sure that life will keep on getting better. So much already accomplished, and so much more sure to be accomplished. Then post high school life hits you. Gone were the days of care free life. Responsibility and obligation arrives, now you have a more complicated life and a greater work load to worry about. Anyways, I am just speaking from my personal life, I am sure many of you managed to live a better life after 18 but some of you may not. So I guess what I am saying is to enjoy everyday of you life. |
Well, I'm 18 right now. This time last year, I was swimming with my boyfriend (getting tan) and getting awesome grades in summer school. I was care free, like you said.
This summer, I'm driving to college summer courses that are across town, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, and I have to get a fender for my dad so that we can fix the dent I put in his car. I'm looking for a job, and getting ready to start community college in the fall. I am STRESSED. However, I am finally sensing that I can earn money and know a little about what I wanna do after college (teaching English in France, maybe?)...I dunno, I hope I'll be successful. |
It looks like I share the same sentiment as alot of people here,
I would like to know what I know now and be in my early 20's. I have made alot of mistakes along the way. I am totally happy with my marriage and kids, though. |
23, cause I'll be out of College and starting the downward spiral thats is life
18 - As long as my parents would still pay for everything!
I'd want to be 26.
35 is just right..
got a good job house is payed off got a vasectomy thought I could..and did screw everything. |
21, but only if I can take what I know now with me . . . . .
S |
20s would be about right, just old enough for anything you want to do without being too old to know better.
