Web TV, WTF? - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Hey folks, I am using a weird variant of WebTV in my hotel room in SF. It's called hotel TV. Does anyone actually use this as their main internet? It's soooo weird. No mouse, just a wireless keyboard. It actually works better than I would have guessed, Helps to be a good typer which I'm not really.

Used it once on Singapore... it was only cool to me in that it gave me high speed access when my laptop was stuck on dialup.

Does it have a trackball or touchpad to use instead of a mouse?

The only bad thing I can think of on it is the resolution, nothing can really be done about that though unless they release one for HDTV.
It definately is a good option for people that want e-mail and the internet without the expense of a computer, or the learning curve.

Nope, it works with a system of putting a highlighting box around any field or link. You navigate with the arrow keys. Actualy it works really well, but no cut and paste seems to works so they must be clickale links. Very cool for a travel system though.

I have one and its great! I can lay in bed at nite,watch tv and surf the web at the same time. I also have all my email sent there too.
