All my mp3s are at work (I don't have a CD burner at home - yet), and I share all those, but due to bosses and the wife, all porn vids get zipped and renamed, so nobody accidentally opens one. Most of the porn I DL at home gets deleted - I've become so jaded that I'm extremely picky what I keep. So - I share at work - don't share at home.

I only download using Kazaa about once a week, and that's if I'm looking for the hard to get stuff or just want it right now.

When my download is done, if I'm uploading I'll let it run, otherwise I shut it down.

I share stuff... I have about 4 thousand mp3s and a few other bits and bobs that I like to share.

Unfortunately I have to limit the no. of uploads to 1 and the bandwidth to 24kbps because otherwise my connection gets annihilated.

If im downloading a lot, i limit my upload because it affects my d/l speed, but most of the time i dont care and just share my files and go to sleep.

No, I don't user Kazaa or any other P2P program. I've tried a few, and shared when I did, but generally found that I got less out of it than people were getting from me. Also, with the renewed legal focus on the end users of P2P programs, I don't feel like being used as a test case by the RIAA or MPAA. Granted, the possibility is slim, but it's there.

1029 files, all being shared, all the time. No limit on uploads either.

When I'm on Kazaa, I share with 2 upload spots. But I'm usually on e-Mule. I share a lot more on that.

I mostly use Kazaa lite for rarer music that I can't find in a record store. If I have huge difficulty finding a mp3 track, I'll try to download it and then make a point of sharing it because of its rarity.

I like to share a modest selection of stuff that is representative of my tastes. It's not useful for me to share a huge library being far away from the US with only a dialup modem.

While I don't use kazaa I do make sure I share files on bittorrent and edonkey as often as I can.

I share, I just have a limit of 1 upload at a time, and I don't use Kazaa, cause Kazaa is satan, and allows hackers to get into your pc.

Im sharing about 100 gigs of movies, mp3s, files, pr0n.. I limit to 2 uploads/20kbs. I block anyone thats not sharing. And I use kazaalite, but learning this DC++ stuff. I keep all these apps running on the other PC.

When I land a better job I will go back to usenet for all my data needs....

I share about 25 gigs. Most of it is Buffy the Vampire Slayer rips. I only have two upload slots and I've limited the bandwidth to 64 kB upload on that port.

I share all my mp3's and my porn pics. limit uploads to 2 people at a time, 32kb/sec, kazaalite. I leave it running pretty much all the time, except when I'm downloading other stuff from websites, when I want my bandwidth back! I'm on 150kb/sec (eqiv 16KB/sec) so I need to kll it from time to time.

I have it set to not sharing. I share a connection with multiple pcs in my house and allowing people to upload hogs all the bandwidth in my house. I have to be very careful about when I download for that matter.

I share when I'm on, but I don't leave it on ... it kills my computer! Also, I have some folders that I haven't shared yet, and when I move mp3's in particular to their "filed" location, they stop being shared. I'll fix that eventually...

I voted yes even though Im a bitch sharing on Kazaa because I am only on it for a few minutes at a time maybe longer if Im getting a large file. I share the wealth on DC++ sense I use it a lot but kazaa is only for when I need something faster than I can get it on DC++.

i stoped using kazaa a long time ago... (xdcc bots rule) and i didnt share then because eny upload totaly rapes my bandwidth but i use Bit Torrent and do share/seed only at night tho

I don't really use kazaa that much, so I don't bother sharing. I get 90% of my music from newsgroups or my friends ftp servers. On the rare chance that it actually is open, it's because I'm looking for a specific song to show to someone. As soon as 'm done, the program gets closed. That makes it not really worth it to share

I share. It doesn't hurt. I have mostly music, so I get a good feeling when I see someone downloading a really cool song. I'll sometimes send them a message and recomend some other similar stuff and a lot of the time they comeback with a few for me too. So sharing is definitly worthwhile.

Sharing....isn't that what Sesame Street always taught us?? I think we need to reacquaint the RIAA with the concept...:-)
