The Best thing that never happened to you

Left handed here. Not many problems, but I know that writing on a chalk board on an overhead projector was fun.... Nothing like writing something in front of the class, and you think you are doing a good job of it, then you look up again and it's smeared from one end of the board to the other.

Being left handed is fun. I mouse right handed, kick with my right foot, but most everything else... Is done left handed.

Musical instruments are right handed. I do everything leftie, but have to play guitar as a rightie. Even golf courses are laid out to favor a right handed slice, thus so few leftie winners of PGA events (although in the last two years, there has been a noticeable improvement @ the Masters).

Quite centered, huh? You would say I am ambidextrious but I am totally useless when I try doing those tasks with the other hand.

im a rightie but my mom is a leftie... my lil sis is a leftie like her but my mom pushes her to write with her right hand... ive told my mom that this is wrong. she reassured me that learning to write with your off hand is possible if you start young, plus it would make my lil sis's life a lot easier when she has to deal with binders and pens that bleed ink. what do you guys think about this?

You never know when you'll break your dominant hand and then be clumsy as hell trying trying to use you "dumb" hand.
exactly why I learned to hold a pencil and use it to a degree in my right hand during 7th grade. Never have broken an arm as the closest I came was nearly breaking my right elbow and before that severely spraining my right wrist falling from a bike onto gravel, but at least I can write to an extent wrong-sided if the need arises.
and as conforming to a world biased against me - HELL NO. There is no valid reason to discriminate against the left hand in almost every aspect of daily life.

I can use lefty or righty scissors equally well with either hand. I still can't figure out what's so difficult about it. A handedness analysis in a psych class revealed that I was most likely born left handed and became ambidextrous, unable to use my left hand for writing, and a motor skills problem preventing the right from being much better. Everything else is almost equal.

Since people can adapt, I wonder if the saturation of our culture with video games that use two-handed controllers is having any effect on the ability gap between left and right hands.

I catch a baseball better left-handed.
I can switch hit the ball, too.
If I tried to throw left-handed I would probably maim somebody on my right.
The only other thing I can think of that I'm good at left-handed involves sitting on my hand 'til it's numb and...
