A couple months ago I was trying to sleep but in one of the apartments behind me they were drunk and being loud and just having a good time. I looked at the clock and grumbled somthing about "what the hells the matter with them? dont they realize its midnight?" about 5 seconds later i sat bolt upright in my bed and just shook my head. I couldn't believe i had just said that.

Hearing Guns n Roses on the "classic" rock station doesnt help either.

Seeing the shows that I grew up watching on Nick at Nite. ("Full House", "Roseanne", etc.) I remember watching "Bewitched" on Nick at Nite when I was younger and thinking that it was so old. I can just imagine my kids watching "Full House" on there and thinking the same things I thought about "Bewitched."

Oh puhleeeeze.....

Nick at Nite? How about television before cable tv, before remote controls, before color tv even.

When I was a wee evil queen, The Brady Bunch, The Partridge Family and a few other moldie oldies from Nick at Nite were on Primetime...

What makes me feel old? Realizing that people who were born after I graduated from high school, are considered adults...

My eyes! I started wearing reading glasses about three years ago. Now I have to get it into my head that I shouldn't leave home without them! I can't go shopping. I can't go to the restaurant. I can't get anything done! I can't read a friggin' label, price tag, menu item or anything without my glasses!

To top it off, most stores have a $2 pair of non-prescription reading glasses for customer use. Why did I pay $300 for two pairs of glasses three years ago?

Not wanting to stand out in a crowd anymore- makes me realize that I am old.

Being annoyed- very annoyed- by the typical Hot Topic crowd and not even wanting to go in there- that makes me feel old.

Being in bed by practically 10:30 every night- that makes me feel old.

Stretch marks make me feel old.

My brain is filled with trivia, much of that trivia is movie quotes that come to the surface at any given time, generally when I have the need for that quote. The quote that bobbled up earlier, was
Quote:
All I know is, you've got to get mad. You've got to say, "I'm a human being, goddamn it. My life has value."
Twas totally appropriate for the situation, but the 4 people who were near me, had never heard of Howard Beale, nor the movie Network - I can't quote nuttin' from a recent movie - but apparenly I am queen of the old movies..

A movie from 1976 is an old movie? grrrrrr
