I don't condone what was done, but that doesn't mean the people that did it didn't have what they believed to be a legitimate reason to do it.

For punishment, I would hope for nothing short of a public stoning. That's ridiculous...hell, I want to personally be the first one to bust the juvenile-bastards in the jaw with a stone.

It is tough and I wish it had not happened. It is so mindless in fact that maybe it was not done on purpose. There was a statue that went down a while back in San Diego. Everyone was pissed and they were looking for the perpetrators and it turned out that the internal structure of the statue just failed. It broke on its own. I don't know the details of this thing though. . .

Am I the only one laughing my ass off? Not at the toppling, but at the mental image of what it would've looked like to see a truckload of asshats get squashed by the statue they toppled.

How about just prosecuting them with willful damage of public property. That's what they're guilty of after all.

Vandals put paint on a Confederate Statue here in Louisville not too long ago. The University wants to tear it down because its not good for their "racial profile". Things like this go on to show how much people don't care about our history.

Well, I think that is pretty fucked up. They all deserve ten lashes at the City Hall.............or, or something. I dunno, but that was just fucking stupid.
