Who steals a posting tag? I mean, seriously, is it that important to pretend to be someone else in a place like this? Weird.

It's conceivable that it is a new person who did not know that they were stealing someone else's posting tag.

I never said the guy stole my username. He just happened to register it before I did.

I did PM him to warn him that he might get some interesting messages since I have used that name on TFP for over a year.

Am I happy about losing my username? No.
Would I like it back? Sure
Am I asking anyone to do anything about it? Nope

i figured with such a large communitiy I wouldnt get the name I did or that I would get it again. But hey, I guess Im lucky.

Um... I'd say that in the 11 months since G_Whiz originally posted this, most of us have managed to put it together.

What would posess you to dig this deep into the past like this? G_Whiz created this thread immediately after the last TFP crash, in mid-April of 2003. Everybody was re-registering themselves, and evidently somebody beat him to the punch of his earlier name.

I really had forgotten about posting this. After having GeeWhiz as my username for over a 1000 posts, I wasn't too happy to find out that someone else took my name after the crash. Anyway, that was almost a year ago. Everyone has figured out what my new name is by now. :D
